How kind of you. spent some time last night looking for support helplines, but bottled out of ringing.
Just finding it difficult to care for Mum full-time, with no-one to help and my own problems as well. Have been trying to sort out her finances and having problems, even though I am registered as her Enduring Power of Attorney. Every time I try to explain to her what is going on, she gets terribly distressed and has started shouting at me that it's too much for her.

Its very hard. I was in charge of sorting my dads finances out - Ive got 2 sisters but one was not in touch and inevitably it was me doing the majority of the work.
I was chief organiser even before he went into a home so it was just a continuation As soon as he went in and he wanted to stay there forever I made a solicitors appointment. She came out to see him and access him to make sure he had all of his faculties and then she did the Enduring power if attorney. I had copies made and took them with me everywhere when I was dealing with the finances.
We had a cheque book which needed either dads signature or mine - didn't need both. But he totally lost interest in the house once he was in the home so mostly I just got on with things, didn't tell him everything that was going in with the sale, no point in upsetting him with details.
If you can find the right support phonelines do ring them, a sympathetic ear is always a comfort

    Good morning Elite :hello:

A miserable drizzly morning here but the birds are enjoying having a bath :). Lovely watching them and so funny too at times :rotfl:

We've got lodgers for two maybe three nights as DS3 and DGF are going to Grantham on a Groupon deal for two nights, I bet they'll find somewhere to squeeze a third night in :rotfl: so we are dog sitting :T

Seems this tummy bug that has been doing the rounds has reached me  so that has put a halt on me going to Mr T :o. There's always tomorrow :)

Hugs to those who are poorly and those who are low in spirit, I'm thinking of you all xx

Off for a catch-up , see you all later xx
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.
