Is anyone on streetlife please and have you had the email today regarding the move to Nextdoor?

It looks like one website has swallowed up the other :(

I registered this afternoon with nextdoor and I got a banner at the top which says
Welcome to the Nextdoor xxxx pilot website.
The pilot will expire in 11 days unless 6 more verified members join.

Apparently there are 805 households around here - not sure how they come to that conclusion as mainly its 2 roads plus our lane . The parish border is actually across the railway line and cuts through a housing estate on the other side but really the housing estate is closer to the town than the village.

On streetlife on the right hand side it says I've got about 1100 neighbours - covering 2 towns and various villages inbetween but we are going to loose access to Streetlife in 2 weeks
by which time we wont have Nextdoor either.

I tried moving my address to the co op in the village but apparently it does not have a local website at all as no one in the village is on Streetlife or Nextdoor

I don't know if its me being dim but I cant see a way to expand the boundaries on Nextdoor
mhoc, I use streetlife, (I set up a ladies walking group nearly 3 years ago on it) and have to say I dont like this Nextdoor site at all! Apparently Nextdoor have bought streetlife, so it is something we will have to get used to, or stop using...I am yet to decide.
If you click on your neighbours on nextdoor, you will be able to see their full address! I have changed mine by going into settings and privacy, and now just the street shows, rather than the house number too. Also unlike streelife that showed your first name and then your initial for your surname...nextdoor shows your full name.
I also got an email from them telling me that I was a neighbourhood lead...and outlining the tasks I can do...I have declined their unpaid job, and suggested that in future they ask rather than appoint people!
    Keep Moving 2018 challenge.

    Week 1-4 total 159.44 miles
    Week 5.... 41.66 miles
Not moving anywhere! House renovations taken over life!!

On the app I think you just touch the individual item near the RHS of the screen and an option pops up to delete.
Found it now thanks but not on the app. I went on the website to reject the offer.

    Evening all

Nice little trip into town with N today. Superdrug we asked about Dove sets and they had them out the back as currently no shelf space. She bought out 2 different types of dove bags but the ones with face wipes are not on the offer, plus in nasty cheap bags. So we relieved them of the 6 they had. After months of not finding these, think was September they were first found, now have nice little stash. Also in SD got 75ml bottle of Marc Jacobs Daisy eau De parfum for £30 minus 10% student discount. Not sure pricing were right as same size eau De toilette was £58:eek: nice present for a birthday coming up next month. Also in SD £5 off leaflets if you spend £50 if you use beauty card. Mix that with nus card and makes £10 off £50 only valid until 7/2 though.
Also little look in Wilkos and got some stainless steel hurricane lamps for £5 each and N got some lovely cushions for £2.50each. Was a few other bits I likes but carrying stuff back from Wilkes is a pain.
Asda and lovely lime green towels for bathroom.

Sounds like alot of shopping but not been shopping since 6/1 so quite cost effective.
Trying to go dairy, wheat and gluten completely free and must say coconut milk in Starbucks drinks is extremely lush. Think it is a change I will continue when Feb ends.

I am trying so hard to use stuff up and like you actually using night cream!! (How does it know if it is day or night?)
I started slathering myself in body lotion (before my fall) and was in danger of slidding out of the other side of the bed.

Oh pippo you've made me laugh and I wanted to say I hope your side recovers soon from your slip.

I haven't sorted out my samples and trial bottles of body stuff yet !!!! I'll make sure I use it a good hour before I try to get into bed  :rotfl: :rotfl:

some places have a Freecycle cafe which runs alongside Freecycle - a good place for exchange of local info.
    We dont sadly.
We have a facebook selling group but it is very fast moving so its no good for info exchange like you find on streetlife

Our Freegle has a cafe, our Streetlife try to deter people from posting asking for items and suggest Freecycle or Freegle. The local Facebook selling page moves quickly but they don't like too many asks of where can I go to .......... :D

Streetlife is a good source though, very helpful :T

MKS hope you are having a lovely holiday xx
Am i the only one who uses no cream?

I only used to use moisturiser now and then but with having dry skin decided to look after my skin more, keep it protected from the sun etc etc. I think some of my meds can cause skin dryness too so rather than risk having skin like leather  when I'm older I dowse myself morning and night :D

I think I have lovely skin for my age :p :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
