I have to go town for superdrug by the time i get there will be all gone:(

Was quite surprise to find any bargains to be honest as I thought Wednesday was their change over day like Sainsbobs. So they may have been there since last Wednesday, as I haven't been in there for a while.

I have to go into town too but it's not too far and anyway I take DD to work so I am there anyway just depends whether I want to pay parking. Not much chance of finding anywhere free these days. I usually go Tuesdays as think if I get a free Caf! Nero then it's worth it but wasn't lucky today...

DH is the account holder and we are out of contract so wouldn't have a problem leaving. My passion is/was Discovery channels and Quest with them going I don't give a jot about leaving Sky but DH enjoys all the Sports Channels but never bothered much with Euro Spirt.

He did ring them a couple of years ago on my behest and got a decent reduction to stay. Currently we're on full sky package, 1 multi room, telephone and broadband. I'm embarrassed to say but our monthly bill ATM is almost £130

It might be worth contacting Sky and give it a try see if they will give us a refund, I'm sure DH already has this in mind. Watch this space

From reading various forums, actually putting in your 30 days notice seems to prompt the best offers (not just threatening to - as putting it in gets a different team of retentions staff involved who have better deals!). The best Sky retentions deal I have seen recently was 75% off TV plus £100 account credit (didn't pay attention to bb/phone as I don't have them with Sky).

The Discovery issue will be confirmed tomorrow, if they don't agree then it opens the door for cancellations (and that may prompt even better retention deals if lots put in their notice).

I am just a few weeks off being able to put in my notice for VM and Sky so need to make a some decisions about what we want this time - currently 2 x Tivo with all channels apart from movies and Sport (movies on NowTV!), 1 x Sky+HD, VM 100 bb and phone line/weekend calls. Paying around £65 for all that. Phone line is a ridiculous £19 per month (£16 pm if paid a year in advance) - but with VM you can have a deal without the phone line and the price then goes higher

Time to dig out my spreadsheet to compare deals :).

Sky, VM and BT have all put up their prices by much more than inflation over recent years, not at all justifiable .

Not been able to eat anything yet today, I was too late for breakfast before my dentist appointment. :o

And he said wait a good two hours or more before having anything to eat.

Teeth feel really weird having had nine worked on...there was no drilling, it is just preventative because of the gum erosion I have caused due to brushing to hard etc.

I've gone back to using my electric toothbrush, I had run out of replacement heads, but often don't resist buying cheap RTC normal toothbrushes when I see them. Something I must stop myself from doing as then I feel I should use them up.
Have you seen the new ultrasonic brushes, meant to be even better than the usual type, and you dont brush at all, just rest it on the tooth and the ultrasonic magic does its business.

Gocat, you are quite right. It was the Always one. I was getting confused with Mr Shoes' coupons. Thank you so much for this. Mum uses them I think.

I would be lost without my recording box especially when programmes I like to watch all seem to be on at 9pm .

I agree tweets....so many good programmes seem to start at 9pm. So frustrating when the rest of the time there's nothing worth watching

Catch up covers many of the channels but every now and again you find something isn't on there, or it has expired before you watch it :(. Our issue is the boxes seem to be recording 24/7 .

I have a Phillips Sonicare, my hygienist recommended one to me, but it is only a basic model. I got it cheap in the Boots 75% off few years ago and just had it packed away until last year. :o

Those ultrasonic ones are a bit expensive aren't they. But you are right would probably be good for me. I have to be good now I have paid out to have this done. Can already feel my teeth are less sensitive, didn't even realise they were.
