LEJC just let yourself have the feeling and it will pass. 'This too shall pass' is a favourite saying of mine under all circumstances, emotional or physical.
I remember in the old house when DD wanted to move the baby's cot into another room, she just couldn't be bothered to disassemble it and asked me to help. Narrow landing, wide full size cot, solid wood, very heavy item, of course it got stuck with one end balanced on the banister, and little old me clinging on to it for dear life to stop it slipping while an irate and frustrated DD tried to wiggle underneath it to get on the staircase side of it to line it up a bit better towards the intended doorway. Anyway I started laughing. 'What's so funny?' she shrieked. 'Oh, just thinking, this too shall pass,' I said.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
I saw your post earlier but as im in London on babysitting duties and watching the care bears I had to wait until nap time-
We all have down days with shiiiiit thrown at us from every angle but we usually manage to get to the next hurdle and get over it, sometimes its easier than others--
I often have problems that I am unable to do anything about and am stuck with my hands tied watching on and picking up the pieces time and time again, and then there are a couple of friends who have had great losses in their lives and I wonder how they cope!!
we cope because we have people like us to talk to, have a hug, and have a cry and have a coffee (or a virtual coffee) and we always say what if!!
for some we sit and be a couch potato watch tv and do nothing, others immerse themselves with an outdoor activity others wade through the pile of ironing(yuk!) or play candycrush, we all find something to do to get through dark times..
well something made me chuckle --sorry at Rose28454 expense
sit and close your eyes and see this lady dashing about in her car with a giant karacher sitting on the top of it --all she needed was a mega phone and she could have been on an advertising campaign- she stops at the traffic lights and woosh...the campaign trail stops the karacher started flying lessons!!...until the next day she was none the wiser....she drives passed the traffic lights and there sitting in the grass verge is her karacher without thinking she stops the car (forget about the real story where she goes home changes and goes back in respectable attire)....
runs to her now 4 pieced karacher with only her knee length nighty on tied up with one of mhocs long lost dressing gown ties and pink fluffy slippers!!
That really made me chuckle...I know its far fetched, but I think being part of the elite we are all barmy at times..it does help...
Sorry if I have offended anyone, it certainly is not the intention, I hope you can have a chuckle and forget you dark place if only for a minute
I love the adaptation of my Karcher story. However I have more info. When I went past those traffic lights with the Karcher on top I passed my colleague driving the other way and he waved to me. I though he was telling me the lights had changed but he told me this morning when I came into work that he had seen the Karcher and was trying to tell me about it. He told me in front of my boss and my other colleague and when I told them the rest of the story my boss says thats an image he will never lose. We had a good laugh about it. Its ok they know I am slightly mad.0 -

Its on prime for £200 today and I really need one so I'm flip flopping
£200 is a tad excessive
a quick google shows it as £30-£40 elsewhere so £20 seems reasonable if you need itThere comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne ... Bette Davis0
