It's so exciting for them and a great opportunity, he turns 18 next month and will finish college and then off to America, I'm so pleased/proud of himOne cannot change the past, but one can ruin the present by worrying over the future.0 -
Hi.
I'm running behind again as, for whatever reason, or none, I'm just not wanting to get much of the M list updating done - there shouldn't be that much anyway (maybe that's the reason?) - but I'm making an appearance here now to say that next week (this coming week) is a bad week for me (not that bad as it just means I can't get to M due to other things:rotfl:) - I am expecting a lot of changeover on Monday as well, but I will only be able to do Wednesday so there will be a lot of change and I'll be running behind (just to let you know).
That was why I wanted to post this.
On another thing now, just catching up and eventually posting this (some of which came out of last Monday):Savvybuyer wrote: »Top Gear 2017 Annual£2.00:eek: Maybe best to wait as this is first RTC?:rotfl:

On the Disney Princess, picked up on Wednesday, I now think: how many stores do I need to visit before I have all of them?!?:mad::rotfl::rotfl: (The above may not yet be all of them - and I may never get all of them.)
I mentioned the "Oor Willie" annual earlier, being blissfully unaware of the fact, as now it turns out, that the annual is actually called "Oor Wullie", which I now (i.e. Monday) discover as I find stock of the product:rotfl:. Previously, I only had a SEL which called it "Oor Willie" and therefore, correctly, I accurately took their incorrect description - I've no idea where their mind was/what they were thinking:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
As to why some of the annuals are called "Annual 2017" and others "2017 Annual", this is because I am taking the exact wording of the SEL, although I now understand that it's not unknown for SELs to vary in wording between different stores.0 -

I'm always looking things up in dictionaries. I googled one phrase tonight, that had been used on the news, and got a link to a !!!!!! site:rotfl:. Legal pornography I hasten to add (though I haven't actually looked at it to see that it is:rotfl: - and would not look at anything unless it was). I moved on and did not click on it. But, no, it was some type of hat clearly, the news mentioned, that has had me in stitches whenever mentioned and the presenter mentioned it twice!:rotfl::rotfl: - little do they seem to realise that, for me, the word they're using was (maybe still is?) more 'severe' than one that they absolutely refuse to use on the programme under any circumstances whatsoever. I was trying to find out whether the dictionaries supported me - having found the recent broadcasting research (the most comprehensive yet) had failed to include this sense of the word at all:rotfl:. I'm not complaining - it was extremely funny! Unintentionally no doubt. Btw, I don't care (do I look like I do?:D) about what people think about adult pornography, as many people proceed from emotional and what they've been told or conditioned to think perspectives rather than from any rational and logical approach. Such as the logical approach that it can break up families if someone is spending too much time away from proper loving relationships:rotfl:.
I think the whole thing does support my approach that the phrase on the news does have some connotation that I thought it had:rotfl:.0 -

Oh, yea, I got a womble the other day. Nothing of interest on it obviously:rotfl:. Or if there was anything of interest I would have posted it.
...And now, for the inevitable - the long discussion of every aspect of it:rotfl::doh:. I think they bought something - some cheese - I will remember the exact product and full BC if I keep thinking:rotfl: that, although £1.50 at M, they in effect had A sell it for 10% off £1.99 - so that it would have been cheaper to have bought it outright in M, and would have been cheaper for the customer in any event as of course they paid A pricing (including full A pricing on this item) and didn't claim the APG - as the comp. worked out best versus T rather than the cheapest place on that item. So, Mr A is happy again! Getting rid of it for ten per cent off £1.99 instead of M's price of £1.50. That's how the system works. The cheese on my receipt was the only thing worthy of mention and only mentioning it now, some days later, as no good for the size or amount in any event.0 -

I hope it's not me you're giggling to:o:rotfl:.
EDIT: But, yes, you're right: you can't make it up - real life is stranger than fiction (it comes up with things that are more bizarre than anyone could imagine and make up)! Tell you, there are some strange people in this world:rotfl:.
EDIT 2: (Goes on and on...:rotfl:) I should have stopped, I know, but, one time, I had someone who obviously had got an assumption about something that was just completely away from the truth, and everyone else around knew it, and it just had me bursting out laughing after they had left the room:rotfl::rotfl:. Just bizarre how they had got the wrong end of the stick totally and had understood (misunderstood) the situation in that extreme way.0 -
