Thank you. I need to say it all the livelong day at the moment due to circumstances beyond my control in RL. :o

You sound down Seren, not like you at all ((hugs)) xx
Hugs and strength always welcome, thank you both. :)

I'm mostly OK, just feeling a bit insecure as my hours have been reduced at work - which makes it no longer viable, so, like Pacifica, I have to start looking and at nearly 63 I just don't feel like job-hopping again but needs must. :(

On the bright side, today I'm grateful to live on this side of the pond, I definitely won't starve, and I'll soon have a new duvet to curl up in!

    All shall be well....

Oh no, I'm sorry to learn this, from the bottom of my heart. It not a joy job hunting these days I would imagine, let alone when we get older. Take the weekend to relax if you can then step forward on the look out for that ideal job. More and more companies are realising that a more mature person is much more conscientious about their job.

    Good luck Seren xx
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Big hugs to the lovely seren, sorry your feeling down, job hunting is hard st any age, but if you think its your last job until retirement it must be so much harder.
I have not progressed in my search but I think next week things may come to a climax as my boss wants copies of all my recipes . which I am not willing to give her. As many are ones I have made up especially the vegan ones.
  • Yes, me. But my DS is in year 11 and needs to spend all his time between now and the exams revising, even during the school holidays. So I've booked us an all inclusive holiday for 2 weeks in Turkey for when the GCSEs end as we're both going to need it!!
    Good work::T:T:T Cant't beat a bit of all-inclusive for maximum relaxation:D
Where are you thinking would be good for you?
    Somewhere warm and welcoming:)
In two minds, really. There are some good package deals (ie, no planning or thinking involved) for £300 to the Algarve, but I'm also looking at Spain - the Alicante region - for a self-organised holiday, flights, accomodation etc.

  • On a lighter note (or should I say heavier?!) these are £1.80 in Harrogate:

Same here even the thought of planing and packing stresses me, what d do I take what if its to hot or to cold, what if I get sick, have an accident or get lost . the bed could have bugs. Kitchen roaches or mice. And don't get me started on the pool.
Think I will stay at home .:rotfl:

    Thank you.

I wouldn't go giving away recipes either. Unless she gave you uninterrupted paid time with a clear kitchen and free access to ingredients so you could work to a brief of what she wanted creating, all of which I doubt.

You're a gem and I cannot understand why she doesn't honour and respect that. x

PS Bed bugs featured on RipOff Britain Holidays last week! (Series 5 episode 14 if you can bear to look.)
