Personally I would email the CEO, as the response from customer service is not acceptable. http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!/s.php?id=ceo-81955&k=58754e64&c=Groupe%20SEB%20UK%20Limited%20Managing%20Director If they are aware of the fault, they should be offering a better solution than telling you to return it to the store for a refund.
I had a similar experience with a babylis hairdryer with a design fault and could not get an acceptable resolution from CS...the CEO however, arranged for me to be sent the most amazing, and expensive hairdryer...so it was well worth the email.

    I know juju......:o

I know if I go to Sains to return it they will sort it out for me, but I spent ages choosing it and I really don't want to take 2 hours out of next weekend driving to S, standing in a queue to explain what's wrong, choosing another one, then standing in another queue to buy a different one, then driving home.

The annoying thing is that it's a really good iron and otherwise I'm pleased with it.

    I'll give it some thought.

    Thanks for the advice:)

As long as it's sunny and breezy it goes out on the line. Otherwise we put it over the stove, on a clothes horse around the fire or the radiators:)
