Good Morning all, why do Mondays come around so quickly?!
I've spotted a bargain to start off the week nicely,:)
Anyone doing a Waities shop. The Cirio 4 pack of tomatoes have now appeared on Greenjinn:T works out at 30p for 4 tins. :j
They are currently £1.20 with PYO, then claim another 90p back on GreenJinn. 1 pack per account.
I cannot login to GJ since I changed my phone at Christmas.

Dryish jan is still going well...just one small glass every other day...
and frugal is ticking along...there is still so much that needs using up following christmas and the new year....and we have done very well in not wasting things either....the biggest ditch of food seemed to be half a loaf of bread which was well out of date and the remnants of a tub of coleslaw and a dip wheel.
DS has now returned to uni..so now I have my new washing machine its full steam ahead with all that hasn't been done for the last 2 weeks.
I have not really kept up to speed on everyone's news so thoughts to all in need or facing any challenges ....congrats to all celebrating...and if I waver on Wednesday about going to the mr shoes sale, please keep me away from it and remind me I'm still trying to get rid of a very extensive stash of stuff!

I visited an S today that used to be my regular weekly supermarket. It's had a total refurbishment in recent years and has got to be almost double in size. I am only slightly exaggerating to say that it's almost impossible to see it from one end to the other.
It used to be a fairly pleasant shopping experience and now it's awful.
The echoing acoustics and cool temperatures make me want to get out quick. The place looks deserted. There's no ambience.
I remembered back to an occasion years ago when I was getting the big food shop in just before Christmas. I knew most of the staff and recognised the voice of the lady doing the voice over. She was wishing everyone a happy Christmas and I remember feeling all warm and fuzzy.
I feel the marketing guys have got it all wrong:o
Does anyone else feel the same or is it just me?
Morning all! Off to try out the new local pool today, now the kids are back at school. It has been conveniently built just a 5 minute drive away
In theory I will be starting my new job on Monday (just waiting for final confirmation) so I will be trying to make the most of this last week off! :T
TM, I find the massive stores are great if you want to find stock of RTC items (e.g. after Christmas), providing you know exactly where all the reduced sections are, but for a 'normal' shop they can be really hard work. This is precisely why I started shopping in Lidl so often, who really needs that much space and choice just for a few bits and bobs? Plus, the first thing DH says when he comes with me is 'Are we nearly done yet?' and at least in Lidl I can honestly say 'Just 4 more aisles to go!' :rotfl:0 -
Weather is absolutely abysmal here - rain & a gale
The new neighbours out the back who disappeared over Christmas & Fourp's (too much criminal TV) imagination ran riot - have been in SpainAll safe & well & no bodies to count :rotfl:
