perhaps I should try harder... 0 -
Drove home yesterday via a different T and popped in to see what was in the sale. A lot of stuff at 25% off and I decided to buy now what I want. If it goes down and I can get it again, I have the receipt.

I bought two touch-sensitive lamps with shades for £7 -- I have been looking for something like this after complaints from guests that the lamp in the spare room is hard to operate. Then it broke anyway... So I am pleased though I think they were only 50% off.
Candles were reduced too. I particularly liked bright christmassy ones in a glass pot which were 25p. I also needed glasses and found 4 hiball ones (normal good-sized tumblers) with pretty red non-Christmas decoration on them for £1. They were on the floor in front of the reduced section and the box was bashed but that didn't matter to me. They are dishwasher proof too.
Baylis and Harding stuff was also 75% off. I found this diffuser for £3 and bought four for Christmas presents next year. The T packaging is like a Christmas cracker at the top so I'm not sure about giving them as birthday presents.
There was also this star presentation gift for £5 but the sequins were damaged so I didn't buy. Would work in a hamper though. And I did buy a boxed B&H for £5 – it's a bit like this but has 7 things in it: sponge thing, soap, bath soak crystals, body wash, hand & body lotion, shower creme and bath milk.
As reported in HUKD, the 12 pack celebrations cake bar selection was 75p and Christmas napkins were well reduced too. I bought a pack of 20 good quality cream and gold large ones for 38p. I normally want to pay less but I am running out. They are vaguely Christmassy but I think I'd get away with using them during the year.
Star wars toiletry bag was £1.25 and with stuff inside was £2.
Along Came Betty stuff was also reduced. Tower of Treats was, I think £1.50. And I got this for £2.50.
Thanks to whoever pointed out the meat platter was scanning at a low price. I got one for £1.25 and also bought the tin (I love tins!) of 18 beef oxo cubes for £1. They may well go down more as there were plenty on the shelves. Bisto tins were also reduced to £1 but I don't use Bisto.
Their selection of Little Dishes (Shopmummy) was very poor but it did give me a BM of £1.89:
1x
LITTLE DISH 1YR+ FISH PIE 200G
£2.30
£2.50 £2.30 £1.67 1x
LITTLE DISH 1YR+ COTTAGE PIE 200G
£2.30
£2.50 £2.30 £1.67 1x
LITTLE DISH 1YR+ PASTA BOLOGNESE 200G
£2.30
£2.50 £2.30 £1.67
I hope this helps someone and could we try to keep an eye on when T reduces its prices even further please? Is this likely to be on a Saturday morning? I remember one glorious year when a post that garden stuff was being heavily reduced got me leaping out of bed!0 -

I don't have much choice, just in from work

Well I do have a choice ... leave work when everyone else does and get home at a sensible time

We tend to eat at about 7.30. OH doesn't get in before 6.30 and his times are really variable that 7.30 is a good bet he'll be in. I'd rather eat at the same time everyday than try and keep something warm for when he gets in.I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammar

Afternoon peeps.

Regarding the RSPB thing, make sure you are logged in! It took me a while to realise I wasn't when getting the invalid code thing.0 -
