Thanks. What's worse she pays the youngsters so little £2.50 an hour and I an not allowed to give then drinks or lunch unless they pay. that upsets me as they work so hard. I have a pot with my tips in which I use to pay for things for them as its so unfair.

Oh suggested the same. He has suggested we look into seeing how much it would cost to turn our old laundry into a working kitchen, so that could be a long term plan .xx
That is awful and you are so kind paying with your tips:T:T

I've given this a bit of thought bubbs. It would take me too long to log everything....wombles, cashback, etc and then I'm starting off with a fridge and freezer full of food so it's never going to be accurate.

As this is the first time I've done it, I'm going to keep it simple and only monitor the actual cash I spend.

Today for example. I've used wombles and picked up wombles but spent only 46p cash. I think I spent about £3 in wombles but picked up £5.96. However I'm only putting the 46p down as my actual spend for today.

In fact I could be in credit as I was given 2 of those 50p smiley things from a SA:). But that's another story:D And a £2 gift card:)

So at the end of January I will tell you exactly what I've spent in hard cash:)

The bit I'm unsure about is glitches. It's daft not to buy stuff cheap if I need it so I'm not going to miss out. Just need to think about that a bit more.

I know its awkward but mine would be feb anyway

I love rib of beef but dh dont, too fatty he says, thats what gives it the flavour, with horseradish sauce mmmmmmmmmmm

I used to be so fussy about eating fat but I've started doing a high fat low carb diet (not over xmas though) and I lost 6lbs in 2 weeks so I'm going back to that when we have eaten and drunk all the rubbish

This is why I'm doing FFP( frugal food purchasing) ONLY as if any non food bargains come up that I would normally buy it is silly not to purchase so you could say put a certain amount you think youwould like to aim at for the month in your spare purse and see how you go :)

    whats money dashboard?

Someone mentioned it the other day, I can't remember who sorry. You put your bank accounts in it and you can look at your transactions all together and it shows you your 5 spending in a Pie chart:happyhear

I find it easiest to put x amount in a purse and just use this for the month.
