Officially I can renew my passport from tomorrow as my passport then has 9 months expiry on it - but there are only just over 5 weeks before we are away again

Please can I ask has anyone just renewed their passports very recently and if so how long is it taking?

The other alternative is to wait until the end of August when there is at least an 8 week gap which in theory is a sensible choice but I am watching out for a few last minute offers in September so I will have to stop living in hope.

also the autumn hols final payment is due on August 1st but they wont issue the e tickets because the system wont accept my passport numbers - by the time of the autumn hols my passport will have less then 6 months expiry on it, decisions, decisions ...

My DGC's were returned within 2 weeks after applying in mid June.

Thanks. Same here. It didn't even say that yesterday. I just hope they're actually doing maintenance and not about to go bust with a tenner of my hard-earned Amazon credit...

I can't stop thinking about Christmas today. No idea why, but possibly weather-related. I've even started reading the Christmas MSE thread in preparation! Someone please tell me I'm not the only one?

They have about £20 or mine, might be nearer £30.

As for Christmas, I never stop. Constantly shopping for stocking presents:D

My local netto has reduced every thing to half price, exept alcohol and fresh food this morning, the store is new only opened in December.

I expect you are all getting cinema tickets with cleaning stuff - but I have just had an email saying Sweet Sundays is back.
