Morning all
A quick question.
Officially I can renew my passport from tomorrow as my passport then has 9 months expiry on it - but there are only just over 5 weeks before we are away again
Please can I ask has anyone just renewed their passports very recently and if so how long is it taking?
The other alternative is to wait until the end of August when there is at least an 8 week gap which in theory is a sensible choice but I am watching out for a few last minute offers in September so I will have to stop living in hope.
also the autumn hols final payment is due on August 1st but they wont issue the e tickets because the system wont accept my passport numbers - by the time of the autumn hols my passport will have less then 6 months expiry on it, decisions, decisions ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I feel really cheeky asking, especially as I don't post often:o but,
For all the cat owners out there. I re homed twin boys (Bert and Ernie:D) from the rspca at the beginning of the year, I have never had a cat before:( only my 2 fur baby pooches:D, anyway, one of my boys seems to have a poorly leg:( he is walking fine and happy in himself but can't seem to jump. Is this an emergency to see the vet? Or should I give it a couple of days Incase it is just bruised?
I feel really thick asking:eek:
Thank you in advance:o
I would give it a few days just to see if things get any better by themselves. Its very difficult to tell with cats as they are very stoical about pain
the vet will give him an anti inflammatory and a pain relief jab - the trouble is if he does not feel any pain he will continue walking about on the poorly leg.
Our Treacle hurled himself onto the desk and slid off as it has a glass surface a few weeks back and we think that is when his muscle problems started - he tends to walk about now like a humpty backed cat. He also asks now to be lifted up onto your knee and sofa
again we are doing a wait and see programme - possibly we think he might be better after a week or so in the cattery when he will have rested the muscles properly and not had any opportunities for gymnastic leaps“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I am getting a message along the top of the home page saying down for maintenance.
this company don't love me any more and I've not had a survey since before Christmas
so I've got £4 in my account which I cant withdraw - I think it has to be £5 - worried about the account going dormant on me“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Holiday Extras 'Free If' has been changed to 'Never Beaten On Price'
OH drat :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
I was just getting the hang of this and I got my stay for October sorted out :j and id just started to look at 2017 with no joy so far so I was just going to keep an eye on dates ...
oh well, better go and book premier inn again
- I've ruined my OH this year by managing to get York Hilton for about half price in a sale, Sheffield Double Tree free with points, our next hotel stay is one I won and then a very posh hotel in October from HE
- then next year its back to Premier inn, Ibis budget and Travelodge ....“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I don't even see the point of using HE now
when I was looking at my dates one of the hotels was a Hilton so if this is the hotel I wanted I would go via the Hilton app which is supposed to undercut anywhere else - then booking via the app I would be able to choose my room and book in the day before and get my bonus points etc- so no point going via HE even if they match the price.
There were also various Holiday Inns and I think that also has a loyalty programme.
I also use when trying to find hotels booking.com and go via TCB and eventually when I've made 10 stays I get a free room and I also check Trivago if there is a specific hotel I want and then go back to the source hotel if its on TCB.
Laterooms sometimes send a discount code for large spends“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
