I didn't want to bring the thread down over the last 2 days so left till today, my mother in law passed away Christmas Day. Very sad time, especially for my two girls who are struggling, especially the eldest.

Fernie1 so sorry to hear about your loss.

Turkey crowns and turkeys in S and A reduced further.

I now have "a few" in the freezer :D.

    In S £4 for a medium crown (2.2-2.9kg IIRC), £3.75 for small (I got a 2kg one ... and a couple of larger ones:)).

In Little A I paid £5.78 for a 3kg one too - loads left, oh for more freezer space.

It appears we may be having turkey again soon .

Sorry to hear about the car - did you check that there weren't any parking restrictions (max 2 hours etc)? Many supermarkets now have them.

All the turkey crowns were gone by the time I got to my Sainsbobs about 11.30am.

Bit embarrassing when they announced on the tannoy or whatever it's called that there were only 2 turkeys left at the back of the store while I was still in that aisle with 3 of what had been 5 left in my trolley. :o

Reckon someone must have seen me take them. :rotfl:

I have been busy today, but not doing stuff on my list!

Went to Waities with £6 off £30. Disappointing as reductions were rubbish! Managed 1 giant bauble and 4 boxes of shortbreads! Plus usual Pick your own offers etc.

Stopped at Mr T to buy a broom with overage from Hipp and U&G. Also added to my stash of 17p Ocean Spray.

Cut up 2 pallets after lunch with new chainsaw. Keep the wood burner going for free for a bit longer! (Yes I do know how much a chainsaw costs!). But Great fun!

Feeling sad to think I am the same age as George Michael....... :A

Going to see Moana with Meercat movies, then Wagamamas. Giving DD a bit of a send off, as she is off on hols to Japan with one of her friends for 3 weeks tomorrow! So envious!

    See you later. X

It looks to me like the 2.5Kg White Potatoes and King Edward Potatoes in Aldi have gone up to £1.19 and £1.69 respectively - it seems they did not want to have the 19p prices on for too long:(! The 2Kg:( Maris Piper Potatoes are still 19p though. So I was able to get those but not getting the additional 500g anymore. They seem to do this a lot, in my Aldis at any rate - has anyone else noticed this or seen the same situation? They'll start an offer off, for example they'll have some apples in a Super6 and, at the start of the offer period, they'll be 8, 9 or 10 in a pack. Later on, the next week of the offer, and they seem to go down to 5 or 7 in a pack:(.
