Following on from earlier discussions, if anyone is thinking of buying anything for their local food bank, it's worth checking their website first - mine (very politely) stated that they had more than enough beans, pasta and tinned tomatoes, then listed the things that they really needed more of them, one of which was can openers - obvious, but it had never occurred to me :o A had one for £2, so I got one with wombles to pop in the box.

You are welcome glad you have opened bracelet. I knew how to open it because my friend I worked with had a cheap one couple years ago and I watched her putting it on and off.

What colour is your bracelet ?

I did a 1Stop test shop last night as I couldn't resist - no email and no account credit just yet :(. Why did you buy 3 though? I bought Cheestrings for 2x£1 to make it to £10 - no point spending £12 as you are only getting £5 back, so your third pack of toilet rolls cost you £3 .

If it is definitely working, I have 5/6 1Stops round here and 6 Amex between us, so may have a considerable stash of toilet rolls and other items by the end of the weekend.

The challenge is not to be buying things just for the sake of it and check their "normal" price is not much higher than supermarket offers - as an example, these Andrex toilet rolls 12 packs at £4 work out great value, Pringles at £1.50 (so 75p after the discount) are not worth getting in bulk as you can get them for 90p after APG anyway. Buy wisely.

I have a voucher for £2 off a £6 spend for 1stop, so maybe she had one of those.
Was planning on spending £12 in my local 1stop, but I walked in and asked if they take amex. Lady phones someone and they said no, so out I walked lol.
Went to another grocery store that is on the small shops list. Asked them if they take AMEX. Bloke says card machine not working.
