Hi Di yes it's all well and good using that mantra eat less move more if you don't have any intolerances to certain foods but when you have like me that doesn t work. I thought I was eating healthily, orange juice fruits etc but I couldn t lose an ounce never mind a pound as I've said on here. I couldn t understand why as I wasn t eating that much really. But a month after avoiding citric acid and pigs meat I lost 6 lbs.Westvleteren wrote: »Yip that was me

It does say "eat less, move more" but you missed the most important word at the end! It is the ideology that everyone thinks worksslash calories, increase cardio. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Until you are eating a lettuce leaf, run ragged with endless hrs of cardio and gaining weight  I know I have painted an extreme picture but trust me it does happen
All that does is is ruin your metabolism. Just over a year ago reading a post on another thread pointed me on the journey i'm now on. It was/ is a long journey, a journey i'm still on but now I can lose weight eating 2500 cals instead of gaining weight at 1200
As for cardio I would recommend walking, but mix it up in the form of HIIT 30 sec brisk, 30 sec normal as often as you can.
Muscle is the key to your metabolism  more muscle you have more energy burn at rest. Increase your muscle mass, lift weightsonly need to do it 3 times a week. I started with a book called New Rules of Lifting For Women (NROLFW)
Ah I see I did miss the tosh bit! Yes I'm definitely going to start walking and then increase exercise aswell.0 -
Hi thank you. I was just going to google some so that I can buy the ingredients when I'm out this morning .:)
I buy blueberries and freeze them, then use a few as a time in smoothies, with kale and pineapple with a couple of tablespoons of Greek natural yogurt and about half a cup of almond milkI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Morning.
New offer on Lynx Body Spray 150 mls, 3 for £5.00 hasn’t updated.
http://groceries.asda.com/promotion/2-for-pound350/ls87408
Unfortunately I can only see 3 comparisons v Waitrose at £1.50 - Africa Body Spray, Africa Anti Perspirant Deodorant and Dark Temptation Anti-Perspirent Deodorant. Not much of a saving but not a bad price for Lynx spray if it is something you need, have APGs or wombles to use up and don't want it for resale
Think it works out about £1.12 a canguestimate :rotfl:

Love it when these glitches go over so we all stand a chance of getting some.
Lynx work out at £1.01 each. I'll try a few at that price:)To do is to be. Rousseau

following on from this I found this link

the bit about "grounding" was amusing but having said that I tend to go barefoot in the garden a lot, main issue is that my feet are never properly clean, a very disgusting muddy colour all
summer
my other issue is that our lanes around here are used by very fast moving traffic so its 5 minutes fast walk, jump onto the grass verge so you don't get mown down by an articulated lorry, 5 minutes slow walk, grass verge ...
and how do you get your walking steps in when 300 days a year its raining, snowing, hailing, minus 10 or over 25 degrees ...
I like the idea of 10 mins away from the desk every hour - not sure if this might be an issue in a work environment but at home you could easily do a 10 min exercise routine (and try to avoid using the 10 mins as an excuse to brew up, eat cake and catch up on FB!)“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Does anybody know anything about Cirencester? Is it a nice town? Somewhere you would to spend a week at?
Dry and bright here today.
I love the area north of there so it would be a good base. Up the A429 through the Slaughters to Bourton on the Water and beyond.
I could spend a lifetime in the Cotswolds never mind a week. If we sold our house here we could probably buy a little garage to live in:rotfl:To do is to be. Rousseau

I have a jungle of rasps at the bottom of the field which I never even planted......they migrated from a neighbours jungle....:rotfl:
I used to have gooseberries too but dug them out as they became diseased and took too much looking after.
Our lovely neighbour keeps me going in redcurrants and I like nothing better than going blackberrying with a doggy bag in late September :money::D

Morning all, hope everyone is well.
Love this post, spot on westie.
I've just finished lifting my weights for today and I agree with everything you have said. I too have that book & it's fab. I started with strong curves book which is a lot of body weight excersises and I never imagined the amazing results. I was shocked as to how my body transformed. I've dropped the cardio to a bare minimum xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0
