Hi well it's £70 instead of £100 and with me and my citric acid business I thought I could do some things in one of those . I do have a basic blender thing but doesn t pulverise the ingredients enough so leaves lumps of strawberries and banana at the bottom lol. Hubby does the dishes lol it keeps his fingers moving :)

That's true, forgot to take that into account. It would probably make things an awful lot easier for you.

I've just read your signature eat less, move more! That needs to be my motto!
I'm sure it was you that inspired me to do the 30 day shred did you used to do your e exercises out on your lawn?
I must have been in the best physical condition then that I have ever been and I thought I was over weight then now I'm four stone heavier, couldn't do it now but I definitely need to start with something, running is out too.
Any ideas you have would be greatly received I'm going on holiday in five weeks and would love to shift a bit before then :(

Hi Di yes it's all well and good using that mantra eat less move more if you don't have any intolerances to certain foods but when you have like me that doesn t work. I thought I was eating healthily, orange juice fruits etc but I couldn t lose an ounce never mind a pound as I've said on here. I couldn t understand why as I wasn t eating that much really. But a month after avoiding citric acid and pigs meat I lost 6 lbs.

Yip that was me :D How I miss the peacefulness of rural life.

It does say "eat less, move more" but you missed the most important word at the end! It is the ideology that everyone thinks works :o slash calories, increase cardio. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Until you are eating a lettuce leaf, run ragged with endless hrs of cardio and gaining weight  I know I have painted an extreme picture but trust me it does happen :(

All that does is is ruin your metabolism. Just over a year ago reading a post on another thread pointed me on the journey i'm now on. It was/ is a long journey, a journey i'm still on but now I can lose weight eating 2500 cals instead of gaining weight at 1200

As for cardio I would recommend walking, but mix it up in the form of HIIT 30 sec brisk, 30 sec normal as often as you can.

Muscle is the key to your metabolism  more muscle you have more energy burn at rest. Increase your muscle mass, lift weights :) only need to do it 3 times a week. I started with a book called New Rules of Lifting For Women (NROLFW)
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Do you know how to boot into safe mode? If you do it takes out all but the most basic drivers, so if it still comes up in safe mode chances are your monitor is dying.

To boot into safe mode press F8 on startup.

If it comes up without the green line then you need to reinstall your graphics card software. If the green line is still there there is a strong chance you need to replace the monitor.

I would also suggest that you post on the techy board, I only have very basic knowledge about this sort of thing.

Do you know you took the words right out of my mouth I was just about to post that same advice........not :rotfl:

While its quiet I've been trying to get to grips with the facebook issue. Previously if I went via the FB iPad app and I clicked on a link the page would just go blue. This week it shuts FB down altogether and goes back to the home screen

So I tried going via safari to facebook, click on the same link and it opens up so the answer for now is stop using the app

I've read various help pages and some say delete the app and re install it. I have no confidence in this working but I've deleted the app anyway for now. I am going through the home screen icon because at least it works.
Clearing the cache didn't help either
FB and its endless updates making things worse rather than better
