I think what happens with the shop small, is that businesses agree to participate early on, then they get taken over/cease trading or whatever, and therefore appear on list under the name when they originally agreed to take part. I found a Costcutter on the map, but when I visited it, it had changed to a Premier...apparently, they changed hands recently. Awaiting a £5 credit from Amex :)

  • Had my refund from MS, e-giftcard, which I will use shortly to send a gift of flowers to some special people who have had a bereavement this year and for whom Christmas won't be the same. :(

That will conclude my gift-buying for 2016. I just need to get one special card and that's it.

Seems to have been a lot easier this year, mostly because I bought the kids big presents back in January and for once I have stuck to my intentions and not bought sacks full - if you saw their playroom you'd think Santa must be visiting daily. Ditto their wardrobes, sometimes I think the best thing I could give in that department would be an hour or two's ironing. :rotfl:

So all done apart from food, which is another story...

I had a dreadful nights sleep last night, no idea whatsoever why - I must have got some sleep between about 3 and 6 - I was wide awake when OHs alarm went off.

Dentists this afternoon and in the meantime numerous parcels are due so no giving in to mid morning slumps on the sofa ...

I had a dreadful nights sleep too, but I know exactly why. Just been for my smear test, anything medical really makes me very nervous, no idea why apart from maybe going to the doctor's when I was a small child was used as a punishment by my parents (I know, but different times then). Even going to the opticians does it :(
