So you could say put in £26 into t savings, set up your 2 DDs and then a calender reminder for a week before the 12 months is up to top up the accounts
I've had £1 mag subscriptions before but they are fiddly, having to remember to cancel them - and I had issues with one mag taking subs 9 days early
So I will have a go at setting this up this morning.
I had a nationwide account that paid 5% interest but only for one year. I've also got a fully flexible ISA which only pays 1.3% so I transferred money into this 5% account which was paying me about £10 a month gross. The year was up a few weeks ago so I transferred most of the balance back to the fully flex ISA and this spare current account might be switched to halifax - just need to sort out the DDs first
Trying to think now but I seem to think you had to leave a one year gap and then you could set up a 5% nationwide again - is that still so?
When I opened my nationwide account last month they did tell me I had to wait a year after the 12 months were up before opening another one. Talk about spoil sports !ELITE 5:2

Morning all - Right who has nicked my Sun! Wanted to do a bit in the garden before getting diverted by Wimbledon.
Been in stitches after a phone call from Bestie - her and DH were walking back to their new car, when shock horror they saw some of the paint work had been damaged. Closer inspection showed that it looked as though it has been scraped along a wall. So the blame game began which then churned up all the other issues they ever had.
Long story short after 20 mins they find they can't unlock the car either - yep you've guessed it wrong car. :rotfl:

Huge sigh of relief Errant son is now on his second train :j
He had to go across from Euston to St Pancreas International with just 20 minutes gap - I remembered to give him helpful hints about all sorts of things but I forgot to tell him to hit the ground running at Euston and just go for it which he has done anyway
In theory it's an easy 10 min walk but in reality getting across the forecourt in Euston is daunting, the pavements get very busy and congested and you have to cross side roads. And then there is finding your platform at St Ps
His interview practical session was put forward a day but the start time is 9.30 so we found a route which meant he could go down today and not have to stay over with his big sister last night.
So that's him sorted now for most of the day.
I walked from St Pancras to Euston yesterday. It was an unexpected detour as we got stuck in traffic on the M2 and had to have my daughter on a Euston train for 08:30. We ended up jumping on a train at Ebbsfleet to St P then hot footing it over to Euston. It was easier than I expected and completed with luggage in tow in 10 minutes at 08:00 (so quite busy). Fingers crossed for your son for the transfer and the interview.
Oh and I did miss the train I wanted to get back to Ebbsfleet as I bumped into a small crowd gathered round a piano at St P with Bill Bailey playing so had to stop and watch that resulting in a 30 minute wait for the next train.

I also had the very great pleasure of meeting this dear friend today for the first time in person and not a nicer, more down to earth wonderful lady could you meet. I feel privileged to call her my friend and have her in my life.
I'll be quiet now as I'll get into trouble for gushing
