Picked the last of ours, last week. Today, DGS wanted more cucumber. I told him that we'd have to get some from the shop. No, Nana, he said, we'll go to the greenhouse and pick some more. :rotfl::rotfl:

    Awwww bless him x

£4 off £20 for me at M&S. Will probably use it on Saturday as I have a scratchy dress to return.
None of the right wkd in my S but I did get the ecover and smiled to myself as I went through the checkout, thinking "I'll have an aspirational bathroom, just like mhoc." :D

It does make me smile when I do something and it reminds me of others on the thread.

The care home that I do a lot of work for in CW (where I wave as I pass), have asked me to price more of their group. So off to Wanstead on Monday. Anyone local to there?

Thanks we have been enjoying them picking as and when but it has turned a little bit too cold Mr TS was worried they would ruin by freezing.

It's the first year he has had the hot house up and running, believe it or not an insulated back wall of tyres packed out with soil (up to the permitted height). And what was dumped house insulation board for the rest. So it has worked really well so far but there are still a few cold spots he needs to fix, he is hoping eventually it will be green all year round, looks really empty now.

Doesn't Mr TS grow potatoes in the tyres? Works well.

And I thought mine was big

I did think of you when I ordered it. ;) I'm really not sure it is right for us, it will leave less of a walkway in the garage as it is deeper than the 2 that are already out there. And I'm not exactly sure whether the lid will open to full as there is a shelf above it which we did measure to allow for the lid of the old freezer but this will be bigger.

I was looking at the upright ones too but what swung it for me was the 36 hour meltdown time. :D Had to go for a Beko as they were the only ones that guarantee are ok for outbuildings down to -10 degrees. This one will get tested quick as it's been -1.5 degrees according to the car today.

He has done in the past, but he has now used them all for the tyre wall. Place started to look like a junk yard with tyres here and there while he was collecting them for the project.
  • Any connoisseurs on here? Want to get OH a decent bottle of single malt scotch whisky to go with his watch for Christmas. I know he likes Jura, he seemed to like the Glenrothes I got him last year and I think he liked the Singleton when I got a free miniature some time ago, but I can barely get near enough to smell it let alone actually know what he likes in this, so has anyone got any ideas please for a different one please?
