Agree with Aau about a full on peat kick might be a bit too much (although he has to learn some time or other ;) ) but what about this for something away from the mainstream?

Still an Islay Whisky, but not peated. I have not tried it, but I would like to ;) It gets good reviews, and a bit different from the usual Glen-this an Famous-that.
Or if you can manage to get hold of it, Lidls own is rather special, but again, probably too peaty.

Bunnahabhain is a good shout. Although, of the 2 lightly peated Islay whiskies I prefer the Bruichladdich.

Having said that, Bruichladdich has a LOT of variations on the market in order to please lots of different people whereas Bunnahabhain is more focused on a classic taste profile.

  • Just won a £10 Amazon GC, thanks to 10 Ways.

Have taken the following straight from 10 ways FB page. I've saved the photo you need to scan with the Blippar app. I've loaded the app on 4 devices and won once tonight on DH's iPad, you can enter once a day. I believe you should be going into a Maccy D's and scanning instore but this photo worked perfectly for me, although a bit grainy :)

"Use blippar (app) on this image and potentially win a £10 Amazon Voucher. It's an in-store McDonalds promotion but works with a photo as well so can be done remotely (ideal for those of us who are too lazy to go in-store). You will need a phone/tablet (with the app) + a screen to view the image. Thanks to Anon"

    Also beef

Did you know about the Morries beef £3.97 kilo.
I got 4 pieces today ( maximum allowed ) and cut one up when I got home and it looks lovely ,very lean , I use it for braising , casseroles etc.
I find the smaller ones ,about £6.00 each are much nicer than the big ones.
I like my meat smaller :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
