I too take soap, shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, coffee, teabags, don't bother with sugar, sometimes the milk thingies and always the hot choc sachets if they are there. Definitely the notepad and pen (excellent for Scrabble scores) and also the tissues. Toothbrushes and shaving packs come too and I put them in the box at church for the homeless or refugees. Those little pots of jam come too and occasionally I have grabbed some wheatabix if I'm expecting a guest who likes it as I don't do cereal. Abroad I always have food bags in my handbag and we usually get a picnic lunch from the breakfast buffet which is not just cheap but also saves us having to go shopping.

But like you I draw the line at loo roll and towels etc, though if your hankies are my tissues then I clearly don't have as many principles as you! I also don't bother with those slipper things as I think they are a bit rubbish.
Well done especially abroad, saves time and can stop you from catching local tummy bugs :T

    Back from training :)
    Stayed at a hotel.
I believe that anything consumable they give, you can take.
    So I took
    shampoo
    shower gel
    soap
    coffee/tea/sugar sachets
    little milk thingies
    notepad/pen

    I did NOT take
    toilet roll
    hankies
    towels
Against my principles (yes, I do have some!)

What if anything do you take?

Also does anyone else take a bag/satchel down for the breakfast and croissants/muffins etc fall into bag unexpectedly when seated at table? To join butter and jam? I find scrambled egg just messes up bag ;)

When we work away from home, we take Tupperware with us for that very reason and nick some bread to make sandwiches, and yes even the scrambled eggs go in :)
