Good morning!
I should've stayed on here last night but these tin-related posts were lovely to wake up to this morning. Thank you.
My old spaghetti tin was lovingly brought back from Italy in a rucksack when I was a student -- saw it a couple of years later in JL! But after many, many years it got so faded that I replaced it. I don't have anything as old as those in the photo though, snap-ant, nor yours, pippo.
mhoc, even with my passion for tins it is quite easy to resist 20 teabags for £10.95!!! Who on earth pays that sort of money!!!
Tipping with rain here...
I'm another tin person:rotfl:
Seeds, batteries, buttons, birthday candles (????), little light bulbs, passports and birth certificates (in case of fire:eek:), curtain hooks......I've got no curtains:rotfl: etc etc etc
I must admit to being swayed by the tin rather than the contents:o
Going to M&S today after the village Christmas fair where I will be relieved of approximately £10 in return for a bottle of ginger wine, a second hand Christmas scene jigsaw and some random winning gifts from various raffles which will languish in the cupboard for a couple of years until I realise that I'll never use them.:rotfl:To do is to be. If the missing Toblerone triangles story made you angry, then wait until you hear about the shrinking weight of Maltesers' pouches.
Earlier this month it was announced Toblerone was spacing out its triangles to reduce the weight of the bar.
But now it seems as though you'll also be getting less in one type of Maltesers bag.
121g to 103g and Galaxy counters have gone from 126g to 112g....:eek:
One thing is for sure....The price will not drop....[STRIKE]68 [STRIKE]Mouses[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]
OMG, I'm rich! Silver in the hair, Gold in the teeff, Crystals in the Kidney, Sugar in the blood, Lead in the butt, Iron in the arteries and an inexhaustible supply of natural gas! I never thought I would accumulate such wealth!! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Morning all
We (DH) will be scraping the car windows before we go out this morning, the frost is very heavy. Off to M&S to see what's what. I have the £5 off £35 to use but not much else other than the gift card that gets £10 added each month. I don't really want to use that until next month if possible.0 -

By my calculations that's nearly a 15% drop in the Maltesars:o
Anyone else noticed prices shooting up too?

I'd be swamped by tins if I did that!! But can't resist a freebee! One of my most useful ones came with washing powder and has a handle. I decant into it from the boxes.0 -
