Can anyone help with a techie problem please ?

My anti virus is saying my wireless is on WEP and is not secure.
Do I just connect my PC to the router with earthnet cable & change WEP to something else. I don't want to risk messing up my internet as I'm no good with tech issues. Tia xx

All this talk of shopping in Florida makes me want to go back and spend a week shopping. No Disney at all. Volcano bay would have to be on my list, as would universal city walk and both parks :)

You should be able to sign into your router on wifi. Put in the search bar cmd, it will bring up another screen in black, put in that ipconfig, that should come up with an ip address (default gateway), put that in the address bar of your browser (no www or anything) and that should bring up your router. You can do anything from there. If you have not done this before can I suggest you hang on till someone is around that knows what they are doing.

Do you need a password to get onto your wifi? If not, turn your router off while your not using it until it has been set up.

I don't really have anyone who knows what they are doing. Should I call sky and let them talk me through it ? Thanks Enterprise xx

Edit - yes it needs a password xx

  • Good evening folks...long days at work recently...No work for a few days..:j

I have never never heard that you need to pay extra water rates for an outside tap...I think someone is on a wind up.....

Most importantly if your surface water...(water that drains off the roof) goes into a soakaway you will pay less for your water bill....If your water does this then check your water bills...You will be entitled to a refund and a reduction in your bills.....:D

I know they at least used to charge extra for an outside tap, I remember actually seeing the information, although I cant find that now so maybe I should have checked a few years ago.
