Sarahdol let me know when you have your presents and I'll come armed with scissors and tape or did you want me to do the Christmas shopping too :rotfl:

PD  so all the people who say it's only a spider it won't do your any harm are lying

Tweets hope your mum is ok.

Mmmmmmmm chicken, ham and leek pie sounds delish thanks for the idea.
  • You are making me hungry :rotfl:

Kind of disgusting but I just got back from my GP. I was bitten by a spider. Emma was convinced that at any moment my leg was going to burst open and a swarm of spiders were going to come out. I told her in that case I would sing gently to my leg so they knew who was boss in this situation. Turns out it is just badly infected, so much so my GP said she felt queasy. All I've learnt from this, much to my sadness, is that I won't become this:

A nasty experience, PD. My sympathies. Hope it gets better soon.

Someone I knew had similar a few summers back, the spider was orange, so the medics discussed it with LSTM just in case, turned out to be harmless thank goodness.

Can Emma take me too please....I'm hoping to get a trip in to Florida mid January...the elections gripped me and I think I'm missing life over the other side of the pond a bit at the moment.

I spent a few days in hospital recently with bronco pneumonia and am slowly getting back into things...the cough is still a little annoying but hopefully all is well apart from that....

Love to Emma...a chest infection isn't the best thing to come home with x

I hope it eases soon and get back to Florida. I'm thinking of going there next year as I haven't seen my aunt and uncle for a couple of years. I love it there :)

Di...I've been so zoned out of it the last few weeks that it's only now that I'm starting to get back into everything...loads of people have wished me well and I've probably just glossed over it...I've read and not thanked...and again it's only now that I'm remembering some of the things I've read about....

so apologies all.....normality may be restored soon

Your thoughts please, on a blanket tour. Have said we would go along to one on Thursday but can always cancel it, having visions of being locked in a room for an hour but I'm sure our tour operator wouldn't let this happen, least I hope they wouldn't, especially as they are organising it. They did say there was no obligation to buy.

Just wondered if others have been on a similar outing. Would love to see how the cave people still live and this is one way we will get to see it. TIA

Is that in Tenerife? If is, watch out. My friends returned having been persuaded that a particular bed was a 'must have'. Have to say that after it was delivered, they both said that it was very comfy.

    Enjoy your hols.

A friend once had a spider bite whilst in South America. It swelled up when she got home (hadn't noticed it before) and it DID have eggs in it when removed. The research students at the teaching hospital near her house wrote papers on it!

Good morning all. Hugs to those in need.

Went to see the most awesome Deacon Blue last night. As I was staying in town I waited with a few others at the Stage Door (how rock and roll) and met the band and now am the proud owner of all their signatures. :T :D
