hugs, we had weeks when my dad suddenly went ill with no rhyme or reason, it happened in the space of days and we had 6 weeks of living in the middle of this never ending nightmare.
but however bad things are every day you have with them is still precious

Sorry you had to go through this.
My Dad died at 66 after a triple bypass followed by lung cancer and massive stroke, but never experienced anything like this. Don't think I have ever been so scared and can't help thinking what would of happened if I wasn't there.

Look after yourself Sue, lots of good healthy food to keep up your energy levels, plenty fresh air and sleep.....if you can get it. I know you have to keep on going but the only way to do that is if you take care of yourself. At least if you aren't visiting the hospital twice a day you can rest up.

That's true. Haven't had a proper meal since the beginning of September! and more to the point no fresh air due to lack of wombling.

You will be ill Sue and then you are no good to anyone:o. Please put some time aside tomorrow and make something tasty . Make double and freeze for when the hospital visits start up again. If you can't face cooking go out and buy a healthy shop. If you have stuff in the house like eggs, bananas etc you won't go wrong.

yes it was very rough, one week he was fine, just as normal, looking at photos I'd brought but that was the last conversation we had, he took to his bed, totally unresponsive ....
Still we had some very good years so thats what you concentrate on. on. We only really got to know him properly after we lost mum so we have to be grateful for the extra time
