I think we need to start a list of mums with horrible ungrateful exasperating inconsiderate indifferent self centred self-obsssesed sons

Decades of our lives we put into bringing them up but for what ...

our eldest daughter is now lovely but i can never see us ever being at the same stage and having the same sort of adult relationship with the other two

    deep sigh

Its horrible when they are like this, it makes you think you are doing something wrong, my eldest sob was like it always feeling sorry for himself and hard done by. Ds2 and 3 are so different , never been any trouble , at 16 ds2 went to Bangor today to see mates and picked up my Argos order and phoned on way back to see if I needed shopping. , got in had tea went and cleaned the stables and got the washing of the line, he loves college now, is happy to work and does not get any money from us, I am worried now, he either has a secret life, or is buttering me up for something big for Xmas,:rotfl::rotfl:

Send your son here Sarah a weekend mucking out, feeding the animals and moving bales, with no gadgets he will soon appreciate you more and see how lucky he is. :p

    Hello, hope everyone is OK.

Quite a few weeks since I was around due to Mum's fall.
She came home from the Care Home last week, but wasn't at all well. On Tuesday just got her to bed and was about to leave, when she started screaming my name over and over again, then where am I ? and what's happening to me ? It was so scary, but just tried to reassure her saying she was safe, in bed and I was with her.
Rang 111 and ambulance arrived in about 5 minutes. after an 8 hour wait to get seen in hospital she was admitted, with very low blood pressure dizziness and dehydration (can't get her to eat or drink much)
Investigating problems with her heart etc. She is aware of what happened and says she thought she was spinning in the air and was going to fall on me.

Now back to visiting twice a day, but on Friday got a phone call from hospital. Her bay of 4 patients had been put in isolation as 2 of them have Norovirus. No visiting allowed until they say. so only contact is by phone. So far Mum hasn't got it.

Sorry to ramble, but feeling very stressed!

This is the place to ramble, Saversue. Hope that Mum gets better soon.

hugs, we had weeks when my dad suddenly went ill with no rhyme or reason, it happened in the space of days and we had 6 weeks of living in the middle of this never ending nightmare.
but however bad things are every day you have with them is still precious

    Good Evening :)

Thanks to OP who mentioned free sticky tape dispenser in The Works. It is much better than I was expecting

Had to ask for a brochure as they were all behind the counter. There was a sign up for "buy a £20 Works Gift card and get 500 points worth £5". SA confirmed this would enable me to get my free tape dispenser. However looking at my receipt later, I got the 500 points but also got the normal 100 points for a £20 spend :j:j

Evening luvlies, only one more day to go before DD1 picks up DGD, I am absolutely shattered :rotfl:. Thank gawd she's not crawling yet as I don't think I'd have the energy to get out of bed tomorrow. She's a little doll bless her, such a cutie. We're off to the canaries on Monday for a little bit of winter sunshine, can't wait :)

''Twas me re the tape dispenser, they're really solid aren't they. My store has the leaflets in a large display outside the shop so I grabbed a handful as I was passing :D

Off to bed now as she doesn't always sleep through.

The poppies falling down at Festival of Remembrance is such a powerful image - it never loses its impact.

When you go home, tell them of us and say
For their tomorrow, we gave our today.
