Dad taken into hospital late last night, same problem as before.
They went yesterday morning by hospital transport to have the catheter removed, stayed there until he could wee normally, then hospital transport 'lost them' & they were eventually taken home at 8.30pm :eek::eek::eek::(:( meanwhile the laxatives had taken effect whilst they were waiting :(:( & they had missed the Carers so Mum had to wash him down by herself.
They went to bed but after midnight Dad called Mum to ring for an ambulance as he was in pain
My older is DS is going down today - but we are going to have to have a family pow wow & sort out the future.
Sorry to hear this Snap, very upsetting and stressful for you all especially your dear mum. I noticed you've been given suggestions of where to try to get contact with a live in carer. None of us like to admit defeat in these situations but it would be impossible for mum to cope, she'd never be able to lift him on her own bless her if anything were to happen
I always said I would never send my parents into a home and I carried in looking after mum as long as I possibly could. I had eventualy to admit defeat, but it was the right thing to do as I needed help.
I know dads not going away but getting help now is the right thing for you all sweetheart xxThere's no place like home

Enjoy the weekend with your visitors bubbs. We get great enjoyment from looking after the dogs, when ds3 and his dgf are at work during the day. Usually only 3 afternoons a week from just before lunch.
