As we all have quite a few freezers between us...;)
Pros and cons of chest freezers vs upright please.
I went for a chest freezer because I wanted a big one, with current requirement for freezers to be highly efficient the uprights tend to be smaller capacity, although there is a Samsung one with something like 270 litres capacity.
BUT I do miss knowing which drawer something is in.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
I have got the GTECH K9 and mum's got the GTECH they are both good but would say the K9 a tad better . But they have a new one out the GTECH AirRam MK 2 which looks good . I also have the handheld multi which is brilliant on the stairs. Don't forget to go through Topcashback if you buy one. I can also tell you customer service is brilliant. The GTECH's arrive day after you order .
I couldn't believe all dog hairs that got picked up in my living room when I first used it even though carpet looked clean lol and how easy they are to push and move around your floors

I've never had a chest freezer. I was always worried that I'd never find the stuff at the bottom:eek:
They take up a bit of space too. Upright for me:)To do is to be. Rousseau

So, I finally got round to getting a couple of 4-packs. Submitted the receipts yesterday. Got notification today that they had both been paid, but when I look at my balance, I have only been given a total of £2. Anyone know why? TIA
this happened to me twice yesterday. a quick email (twice) and they topped up the difference.0 -

I did have my mind set on a huge chest freezer but with my hands being really bad at the moment, it's made me rethink with the thought of sorting through one to find things in the cold.
It has to be one suitable for the garage and I knew Beko guarantee for outhouses but I didn't realise that is for their uprights as well as chest freezers. Have found one 250l which I think will probably be big enough and I could if I really wanted to keep the small old chest freezer out there as a new upright would just take the footprint of the counter freezer that came from indoors. That is the one that has ice growing out the back.
I know cold air falls so wonder if chest freezers are more economical overall, trouble is you end up leaving them open for longer too I guess finding things, so even if more cold air escapes from an upright at least the door is open for less if you can locate things a bit easier. Am I thinking on the right lines...:eek:0 -

I have been thinking I might end up falling in trying to reach the bottom. :rotfl: Mr TS got to the bottom last week when he did his inventory. He found things I had forgotten about, there has been a block of Cathedral city in it that came from my mum's.
Space isn't a problem though as it's going in garage.
If I get a big chest freezer I would just get rid of both freezers that are out there at the moment so same area will be taken up overall.0 -

Just a heads up for those driving to Kensington Olympia for future events, there's no longer free parking available around the venue for the entire weekend. Seems like they've changed the whole zone as you can only pay to park for a maximum of of 2 hours (no return) rather than 8 anymore.
Hope it helps someone!
Actually I did mean to mention this PD. If you go a bit further along Blythe Rd, you can still park ok, but, as you say, early part of street is 2 hours now
