Remember the 50p each 'fresh' Steak Burgers that I have had (50p/£1.00/£2.00 depending on pack numbers) and how I have always managed to find them from six stores? Well, yesterday only just:rotfl:.
I went though five stores that either had only a £1.50 version (for two pack, 75p each) or, in most cases, nothing at all. So I had no trace all day... until it came to the final store, where I had a single unit of stock:D:T:j. Just so lucky that that had not been bought. So, I've still always managed to get them from six stores! I shall be using different stores from these tomorrow anyway, so, we shall see...:D:(:mad::mad::(:(:rotfl:
There are some 8 British Beef Steak Burgers supposedly available from M and supposedly at £2.97, according to a hoarding showing yesterday in one of my stores. This would seem to be better - however, as they are handmade by the butchers, I cannot tell what weight they precisely are, the sign does not state any more than that and this makes a huge difference (for me at least, minor details matter the most!) as if they are half-weight or not the weight of the packed ones, then they would potentially be less product for more price. They would be much better, assuming they are available at the price stated and if they are 114g or more each.
I say "supposedly" - I can't rely on people noticing signage that is above their heads and not of failing to remove it if it should no longer be applicable. Most people very often fail on both counts: (1) they fail to notice things; (2) they do a incomplete job and fail to take all things down when all of them no longer apply, instead just removing some of them. They are also not always fully aware of everything that needs to be removed and information does not always get communicated, or fully communicated, to people - or is communicated but misunderstood or sometimes miscommunicated. In short, I think they are human beings:rotfl:. However, I noticed (as usual!:D), the sign and that's what information it gave me, which I'm now passing on.0 -

Dolmio Pasta & Sauce Kit - Cheese & Broccoli (215g)80p RTC I assume: this is the one that I have missing and is not in the Ms I used.
:rotfl::rotfl:
I knew, last time, that there was one that I was missing and managed to find out what it was. However... there's more than one:rotfl::eek:.
There were actually at least two that I was missing and I have the other one now:o:o. Not my error as there were only two in the set of stores last week and I knew of a further one that 'must be somewhere'. So I got what I could and what I knew about. I will be deleting the note as, indeed, all three are available from M and will be adding Chicken & Mushroom (215g).
:rotfl:
Really, I was doing well to put onto the list more than I actually had in all of the stores I had used last time. Right... have I got them all now?!?:D:rotfl::rotfl:
It's not necessarily the case that all of them are rare in M or that you will have difficulty finding them - some people will, clearly, have none of them in their store(s) at all but I found all four of them in two Ms yesterday (all four in the first store and all four in the other one), after just two of them somewhere last time.
It's certainly possible for someone to have only Chicken & Mushroom in their M and, from seeing the list, to be confused about what they have got there. However, I think lots of people here now already know about these difficulties with price collection from a set of stores. I think you should expect to find that you may from time to time have other versions or flavours of products that I miss due to them not being in my stores. That Monin Caramel Syrup was one before and someone may just have had that in their store when I put the other flavour that I had in the store I'd visited onto the list. So, the message is don't always stick to the flavour I have on the list as it's possible you could find only another flavour in your store and for that to be on the same price. Or, sometimes, maybe, even lower:rotfl:. Although sometimes, or maybe often, when I appear to "miss" something it really is because only certain flavours are on the offers or the RTC. In that case, the full price versions will be deliberately omitted.
I am, I think, doing a very efficient and good price collection, getting all of what I can in the stores I use and picking up as many items as possible. Certainly much better than TBG:rotfl:. And, of course I improve matters when I find further products in other stores later (Monin Caramel Syrup is now on the list and from myself, although I suspect it will now have gone from most places that had it at all before - they may bring out new stock later in some stores though. Yesterday they were just putting out the Signature ales (that are at 78p) in one of the stores - they have now, it seems, for now at least, vanished from stores that had them out last week - though I now have more stores with them in than I had last time). Unfortunately I could not have had some items before because they are completely absent from earlier stores - it is not a case of me missing anything that is available to me to see. I've no Monin syrups in any of my stores this time so it's possible they could have sneaked down even lower, though I suspect they are still probably £1 (I do a very good job of implying stuff from the limited information in my stores, sometimes stuff that would not be obvious to or able to be known by someone who did not already know wider information available from elsewhere, though I've nothing to imply from here - just think they probably will not have gone down just yet. Though sometimes I can imply things from nothing or from complete absence:rotfl:. The complete absence of something implies something...:doh: But, anyway...). (They could, like a lot of RTCs, be found on an RTC shelf marked down on stickered label only in that store even cheaper. I have loads of such examples over time - and it's one (different) item per store or, more usually, nothing at all in the majority of my stores but at least one of them each time will have an RTC even lower on its RTC shelf.)0 -
Nectar question:
Seen the Ted Baker socks reduced to £5. Are people seriously spending £5 on a pair of garish socks just to get a nectar bonus that could be worth as little as 250 points (=£1.25 value)?
Or am I missing something?
They do come in posh boxes though, apparently too good for the recycling bin eh TM :rotfl:right place right time...good for you
Thanks, well pleased. DH needs to go to the post office just before last post so I've told him to pop into A and see if they've restocked:happylove Nanny to 2 Cherubs :happylove0 -
