    Morning all!

Hope the extra hour was enjoyed, I woke up at stupid o'clock thanks to daylight streaming through open curtains in the adjacent office room!

Off to do the weekly shop but hoping for some advice before I go. One of the things I seem to end up spending a fortune on is DH's antiperspirants. He has always used Lynx and seems to get through tons of the stuff, considering he doesn't even do a manual job. He has finally admitted he doesn't think it works well enough so I'm on the hunt for a cheap but effective alternative. Any recommendations gratefully received :D

I'm no expert but I would try a cheap own brand to see how effective it is. After all they are probably made in the same factory as Lynx:rotfl:
    Good luck:)

As you are an Amex expert hg;)

Just a question.....I've signed up for the card......and I know the first year is free, do people just cancel the card before the second year kicks in?

Apart from the small shops promotion is there anything else I need to know now?:)

Short answer, yes cancel at the end of the first year before the fee.

It is W orth getting the supplementary card(s) as each can then claim any offers (like Shop Snall :)). I always find where it is possible that an initial and surname works best (not Mr or Mrs) as then you may not always need them shopping with you on a road trip ;). It gets charged to your account anyway :A.

"Time to update your bedroom look"

    I opened it up excitedly.

Am I right in thinking for those who have bought Costa gift cards on Zeek, when used, we should still get the Costa points awarded?

    You will :money:

Yes, just cancel and nothing to pay. We go a step further - about six months in I refer DH for a card. He then gets a sign up bonus and I get a referral bonus. Then just keep repeating this if you want to collect avios. Amex don't seem to mind. When you ring to cancel they usually tell you to apply again in six months time to get another bonus.
When you log into your account, scroll down to a tab that says My Offers. There can be all sorts of things in there. Not everyone gets the same but statement credits for things like Pizza Express, Cafe Rouge, various hotels and a host of other things have been in mine.
I know you don't fly but avios can be used for other things too, or could be a cheap way of getting Mr TM to Spain etc.

Nectar have just stated that for the promotion to be triggered, the item has to be purchased and paid for on line.
