He already has a black box and his dad has agreed, but he wants to add us which will save him over £400. I just know it will cause family problems if we don't agree, but may well cause family and/or financial problems if we do agree! DH is very against it so we're unlikely to be agreeing, it just feels wrong and no good can come of it for us.
I don't see anything wrong with this. Adding people to you own policy in case they ever need to drive it is sensible. Fronting is when you falsely declare someone else to be the main driver to reduce premiums.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Please all go and have your mammograms. Don't presume that you will feel a lump because it can be hiding on the chest wall.
I understand that Wendy had a bad experience but I do think she is in the minority and Wendy I read that someone said they are changing the way they do them so I would encourage you to ask about that.
For everyone else think about a clean and polish at the dentist, it doesn't actually hurt but it's not the most pleasant experience but in the end, well worth it.
I cannot stress enough how important it is that you all go for these and as soon as my Dd can have them I will be making sure she goes. In our circumstances she will be thirty.
Trust me it is worth it........steps back down off soap box.
Di I'm sorry my post was insensitive I should have engaged my brain a bit more.
I have actually had a mammogram when I was 18 so I do know what it entails. BUPA visited the office where I worked and every woman had one. I didn't think twice then. This is something much deeper rooted personally for me that I haven't requested early one. And I'm pretty sure when the invitation finally arrives I will go.
I'm sure you will understand when I say all my female relatives were diagnosed later in life so I am not as high a risk as some. If that was different I'm sure we would not even be having this conversation. My MIL and her sister were both diagnosed early and I know how important it is that my SIL gets early mammogram. But my situation is different to hers I've read loads and feel not asking for early one as soon as I was eligible at 47 was an informed choice for me. My mums was a lump you could not see so I do understand where you are coming from. But she was higher risk to start with one child late in life, breast fed very short time and was on the pill until menopause.
I hope I've expressed myself bit clearer I wasn't saying people shouldn't. xx0 -
Morning all
All that holiday talk last night wish I was somewhere warm. Is MKS back yet? Seems she has been gone ages. :eek:0 -
Morning Everyone
Does anyone else find Nectar points statement soooo frustrating. So hard to work out which bonus points have been added when they date them at time of transaction rather than time of processing. Or is it just me? :rotfl:0
