Not sure how to check how much stock there is in Mr Shoes, got what I needed by going through normal search. Home page, search for "John Frieda Bundle" selected the bundle and got what I needed.

Would anyone mind telling me the deal is with the JF please? XxxTo get to Disneyland Florida 20160 -

Very true it never ends does it. I've glossed everywhere, although I did decide last night I would do the glossing in the lounge and dinning room too. They don't need decorating but were I've stopped on the door casing you can see the difference in colour. I am going to paint the front porch and back porch but I'll do that next week once dh is back at work. I must admit it does look much better if not a tad bright :rotfl: who knew duck egg blue was so bright :rotfl:0 -

Good morning all....
I've been around over the last week...just very busy.
Wafted in a few times and hopefully kept up to date but posting and joining in had to take a backseat I'm afraid.
The rental is now up and ready to go...we have tenants due to move in during the next couple of weeks...been hard work but thats life, and now the battle to retain the deposit must commence.
The new property that we are buying exchanged last week too but i not due for completion until just before christmas unless the seller decides otherwise...but at least thats moving forward slowly.
My Twine order was delivered last week...on the face of it not wonderful but not a total loss...worth slightly more than the price but as we started to work through the bottles it became obvious all was not right.
By Friday we had ditched 6 bottles either because the contents had turned bitter or because there was evidence that the top of the bottle had splintered due to a dent in the cap!
In fairness T acted very quickly to refund the cost of a case (they also did similar last month with the order because of the red/sherry and 0 alcohol)....so I do urge anyone who feels that they receive anything of substandard quality to contact the call centre ...I have always maintained the stance that with mysteries you take the rough with the smooth however the wine should always be as described and palatable....it seems now that Twine are also happy to take that stance with me too.
So on to Frugal October....the eagle eyed amongst you will notice that I have gone over....although this week the spending will be via wombled APG's so I dont expect to need physical cash for any purchases.
OH has been home over the last week so that has stretched the budget in ways that normally wouldnt happen but love him,he has embraced the challenge and now has seen that frugal living could indeed be quite useful in the budgeting department.
Going forward we have a freezer packed of RTC meat and fish that will last well into next month having finally cracked the time to arrive at the T meat counter on a sunday afternoon.
I must admit that we have eaten well meat wise but it is the standard things like bread milk and eggs that really eat into the budget, and something as simple as replacing a jar of coffee as it ran out at the wrong part of the month was the thing that tipped me over the £40 mark.
I haven't really missed the takeaways that we used to have...I guess they were more out of habit than actually enjoying them but strangely enough I did get a massive craving for a maccyd/bk one day last week!....strange really as neither is something I've had in years, but suddenly the desire was there....I did however resist.
What I have missed is being able to pick up something because I fancy it,and my weekly cafe visit with my friend....so going forward I can certainly see some of the frugalness remaining but it will be interspersed with a little more leeway on budget.....maybe £40 was a little ambitious and something in the region of £50 -60 may be a more realistic proposition.
so thats me in a nutshell....how have you all been?
I see our dear LS has a a blossoming romance....it's true love strikes at the craziest time but given chance to bloom it can give you a happiness that you both deserve....you go girl, and enjoy every second

I agree about the milk that's what I've needed to shop for the most. I asked dh to get some on Friday as he works near a ff but he forgot. I'm going to Southport in a bit so may go to Ts although we have got a uht in the cupboard so I may just decant that into a jug instead.
I certainly haven't missed shopping, it's never been high on my list of favourite activities......baby shopping however is a different matter. I'll be having a good look round Kendal on Wednesday.
Glad you're back:T0 -
Oh Di...."me time" is always good and sometimes very needed, but I always have time for a quick hello with a matey!
...afterall it's you and many others who have really kept me afloat over the last year
Kendal and baby shopping sounds wonderful....hope you get some lovely bits xfrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

:hello: LEJC
You have been busy!
Good point about the milk, I use longlife soya and could theoretically get a month's worth in at one go but storage would be a problem, so I tend to get about 5 or 6 a time which drags me in to T's on a regular basis and inevitably there's something else that gets picked up.
I'll probably go over-budget but if I bagged up the items I've bought in Oct which I haven't eaten yet, it would look like I'd just done a substantial shop...:D“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0
