For the Carling app, buy a 4 pack for £3.50 in A (compares to £3 to M until Sunday so 80p back on apg shop), pop code in on the 4 pack rewards then you get a voucher. Sometimes a fee 4 pack but other times 50p off. I have bought a few recently with wombles and done okay.

Stuck at work perhaps someone else can tell you. But the carling app is a lot better than that.

anyway before i sally forth to do battle if anyone has any spare prayers or positive thoughts could they wing them over in our direction as we might need them.

Oh went into work late this morning as he has a meeting with Big Boss very late this afternoon - no idea why they needed to schedule this meeting so late on a Friday or why its taken a week to organise. We seem to think that there are very subtle things going on to undermine Ohs grade because most of the work could be spread between several other people. At the same time they have advertised for 2 new people even though there is barely enough work as there is. Oh would be too expensive to be made redundant so thats not on the cards but if he was put on gardening leave then at least he would still be on full pay.
He jokingly said as he was going out of the door 'Well we will see what your budgeting skills are like after this afternoon'
Or at least I think he was joking
In the meantime he is being head hunted. Someone else in the company has been interviewing but says they cant work with anyone they have seen so they want Oh to apply and depending on the outcome of this afternoon he is seriously considering it.
My main worry is that he will still be setting off for work at 7 in the morning but instead of finishing somewhere between 1 and 3 in the afternoon depending on the workload then it could be 5 or 6 - he is knackered out as it is finishing mid afternoon so doing 9 or 10 hour days are not going to do his health much good
I am going to have to resume the roll of chief chef again and do all of the weekday meals - we share at the mo. I dont think Oh is that keen on my cooking but he puts up with it. And I would be doing the manly jobs like fire cleaning and lighting which OH likes to do.
And especially in winter there will be fewer weekday after work shopping trips because it will be dark and late when he gets back.
On the plus side he says the new job will be more interesting, no on call weeks and its a higher grade so its better for the pension but i think you have to work at least three years for it to make a difference ...

So whatever the outcome of the meeting this afternoon big changes are afoot

OOh Snap hope you manage to get the sofa you want ;)

:( Missed all the good ones, about 6 left but nothing I liked.

Dining tables were a good buy at £10 if you needed a huge table..

But they are not closing, just moving down road to smaller warehouse in LA land, the one they have been using is needed for high stock stacking.
This new shop opens this afternoon with all new stock at 60% off - can I be bothered to trek all the way back again?

Or just buy the red velvet sofa from IKEA?

Sarahdol - enjoy you holidays in your 25p swimwear :D

Mhoc - hopefully a good outcome this afternoon ♥

Now I need to get my old LA sofa gone :o

I suppose we have to think about the worst case scenarios.
OHs roll cant be going altogether because everyone would have had the meeting or at least the rumour mill would be on high alert but I suppose they could be shrinking numbers - in which case why are they also advertising for new people ...

But companies have weird and wonderful ways of getting rid of people whose faces no longer fit and these days it seems like redundancies are something everyone has to cope with at least once in their working lives.
And if it is this then I know it takes a long while to process redundancies so I don't know how it would affect the potential new job seeing as they are very keen on having him, if they would/could wait .

OH could still get a job in the industry if all else fails, no issues there, keeps saying plenty of vacancies in York but the timing is all wrong - we would end up having to rent a place up there and the long term plan to move north would be shunted forward very abruptly ...

You can see why I am keeping busy and not trying to think about it because it is all getting very knotted in my head and more complicated by the minute :)
