Currently on 25 orders at Lakeland  might be a bit awkward collecting them! Hello...I've 25 orders to collect :rotfl:

But by my calculations I should get at least 24.50 profit on 25 boxes of cupcake cases, hopefully more.

Hmm, maybe another 25 orders then...and the kids get a bonus family trip to our nearest store at Windermere on Sunday. Might even let them feed the ducks!

a worrying thought occurs to me - what sort of boxes do they pack the orders in?
I am just imagining trundling a trolley load of assorted shaped boxes out of the store and across a long walk through the garden centre back to the car ....:o

    Good morning :A...remembering Aberfan ...50th Anniversary:A

its one of my very earliest memories, coming home from school and it being on the news on the radio ...
I suppose even at that age I must have picked up on my parents shock so that is why its always stuck with me

    Morning all

Yes this happened just after I started primary school and I don't remember it being on the news, but I remember my mum talking to someone about it and them saying something like we are not safe even when we send our kids to school. I kept thinking what is unsafe at school

Thinking of all those affected by this tragedy :A

I thought my 15 were bad, I have ordered a real variety of bits that I will actually use as if for some reason it doesn't work out I haven't lost anything as it will all get used :)

I sometimes struggle to keep up on here and therefore at times may miss posts and some of the discussions - even if I pop in to post I may not have caught up with what was posted before. Summer was particularly busy, in fact all year has been busier than last.

However, a few people have posted recently about Elite members staying away and not feeling able to post here, even if lurking. Nowhere should make you feel that way and I hope I have not caused any ill feeling and am sorry if I have by missing posts or not responding :o. I had thought the thread was going well, albeit quieter, and had not noticed any undercurrent or arguments.

I am grateful for any glitches and deals found, even if I cannot always participate and hope I do contribute something positively here too.

It has Anon and neither had I noticed anything. I think sadly we are talking historical stuff here with the people that are missing. :( I hope people will gradually return in their own time but maybe for some they closed the chapter of this book and opened a new one...

And why on earth you would thing you have caused any ill feeling you are one of the most steadfast members of the Elite. The one always with the most level head and balanced opinions. :A

so i ordered some sketchers from Amazon but these turned out to be slip ons but I am not confident that they wont go even looser so sadly they are going back - even though they were only £19.99 :( My shocking pink Go Walks in the summer got a lot of admiring comments but i could do with a black pair of lace ups for winter walks - shout out if anyone sees any mentioned on the dark side

I opted for free Hermes pick up - no idea why as we could have dropped the parcel off at the collection point yesterday very easily and at least it would be en route now. our bit of the M6 is a car park on Fridays so i have no confidence in anything being delivered or collected - why do I make things so difficult for myself

In the meantime waiting for the Hermes man is going to slow progress today as I cant stray far from the front door.
It was so nice yesterday afternoon i got more spring bulbs planted - 13 degrees and no wind - but still more to plant while the weather holds.

Ive also got various charity boxes and bric a brac boxes in various stages of completion on the dining room table which really need filling and sealing for dropping off tomorrow but mostly these will be just shifted into the study so Ive only got one messy room instead of everything spread all over the place

The most pressing thing on the agenda is the Christmas shoe boxes which could wait for Monday if I can get a wet afternoon to actually do the wrapping bit - the contents are all together, just needs to be done. Ours go to a collection point at a local Shoe Zone but that bit of the town is pedestrianised during the day so dropping them off is awkward and needs to be done on a weekday afternoon

And then I am itching to get the suitcases out even though its far too early and it upsets the cats - hence the need to complete or move the charity boxes, sort the Christmas shoe boxes and clear the dining room table which is where the suitcases sit while they are packed ....

    deep sigh
