I think it's a white - it's CATARRATO - PINOT GRIGIO - TERRE SICILIANE - VINO FRIZZANTE according to HUKD:

    Just collected my gilets. :D

The slippers, etc, I booked down for next week. :D

Called SD to get a card as didn't have one. I'm learning from Tinyshoes, thank you muchly x

Called Poundland for Arm & Hammer £1, thanks Bubbs, you are a star even though I was tempted by Minstrels £1 as well x

It's all looking very good from here. Brilliant week, what with Bella and the clothes and £16 of 'free' (apg) food. Also my sparky points have gone up. I had 93 to start, my last purchase was a couple of cheap Xmas cards in January, seem to have 170-something now.

    I'm not sure if that's a good thing. :o:rotfl:

What on earth did you learn from me?:rotfl:

OMG!! I'm so cross now, vent alert!!:mad::mad:

Hubby lost his work phone in our hotel room in Tenerife. It's an Iphone 5S so not the newest but still expensive and embarrassing to have to explain to work. We strongly suspect the maid swept it all up in the bulky bedding and then it got sent to an external laundry company.

A few days after we got back, the reception team emailed to say it had been found (:j:j), and said we had to arrange collection, and they gave us a tracking number.

After a LOT of research and various failed attempts with other couriers, I finally got a quote from Fedex, who then said I couldn't book a one-off collection over the phone but I could do it online. I was so fed up as I ended up being charged about 70 euros instead of the £30-ish I was quoted on the phone, but I just went ahead just to get it done.

I've just had an email from the hotel reception saying the driver refused to take it because it was a parcel and not documents (even though I gave weight and dimensions of a parcel). The bloke at Fedex customer services barely spoke English and said I should call Fedex Spain who would 'definitely' speak English!!

I then tried Live Chat, who (after much to-ing and fro-ing and attempts to say that Tenerife isn't in the EU and that's why it was a problem) admitted that they don't actually offer a parcel collection service from the Canary islands, only documents!:mad:

I'm so fed up now, things shouldn't be this complicated! I used to work in Export so I know how it should go, but because I'm an individual, not a company, it's a nightmare :(

I'm considering naming and shaming on FB, but I don't want the maid to get into trouble as I'm sure it was an honest mistake. Bring on the weekend!

    Oh, this and that... ;)

The benefits of a card, for one. I never took that much notice of the store before, but you seem to do so well there. :D Found a really handy one, in the same zone as that MnS food hall which does CnC, on a route I do regularly. World's my oyster now... :rotfl:

DD2 got letter today wrong format and rather more imortantly wrong date.

It's not been put in for senate what ever that means so says date of award will be sometime in December. They knew all this or at least someone did that it needed to be finalised for her application. Have everything hanging on someone at the records office who said that luckily there is senate next week so he has put it forward for then, but it's too close to call whether it is going to be finalised in time.

So angry as she handed her dissertation in on aug 15th, he reckons it has been sitting on someones desk, an expensive year for nothing if she does not get the right paperwork in time. :(

The application that will decide the rest of her life....
