    I am wondering how everyone's OHs and nearest and dearest are dealing with the October challenge - are they avidly enthusiastic and looking forward to a month of exotic meals made from store cupboard contents and re invented left overs or Covent garden soup most days?

    or are they plotting subtle revenge or sabotage like being incredibly late from work and having to go home via the chip shop or volunteering for all meetings which involve the organisers putting on a buffet so they are not hungry by the time they get home ...

    or they even aware yet that anything is going on - are they still blissfully ignorant? :D

    Humous is lovely, but about £1 a pot which DS2 will eat on two slices of toast. So in frugal October, I am going to make my own... chickpeas are soaking overnight...
