My wombling yesterday produced a modest £1.79 and todays newspapers also allowed the collection of some coop chocolate digestives via the voucher...

We are off to visit DS (i'm very excired!) next weekend and have located a sizzling nearby...so just need to get 2 more fee meals this week and that will be a meal for us all sorted too.

I have to admit it's been easy so far but it's more of right time and right place....but I am determined that all food and drink spending will be below the £40 mark.

So many do achieve this week in week out ...and if I'm honest I'm only playing at this rather than actually having to survive on that amount each week....but even this early on into it,I'm staring to think how lucky I am and it's staring to make me reassess some priorities.
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

I don't think it's supposed to be, I was more wondering if that could be done on a store level and bubbs' store had done that

    Good evening all...

I hit T at the right time this afternoon and have filled the freezer...TM will be proud of me...stewing steak for £1.50, chicken fillets for £1.00,a rack of lamb with 7 bits for £1.40,beef roasting joint £1.40,summer kebabs x 3 packs, various other bits including enchalidas, potato skins, breaded mushrooms and pizza at no more than 40p per item....and then it took £2.00 off for a meat multibuy so the bill was £7.65

so I stocked for more than the next week and now only need some veg or rice to go with it all

I wonder if you would consider swapping your breaded mushrooms for my houmous:rotfl:

I didn't intend to visit A today. I was going to Wilko to get the crisps......should be 30 packets in a box but I got 32:D

All the whoopsies had just about gone but I was dead happy to get these:)

Maybe they've been added to the better than half price offer instore? There are some shampoos etc online that are 4.99 reduced to 2.48 (so 2.51 off each)

    That would explain 10 x 2.51 = £25.10:T
