me personally I would have bought them and then taken photos to put on their twitter feed.

and then rung Asda HQ to ask for advice and also ask about the £10 gift card.

I expect everyone is now in Asda looking for OOD squidgy tubs now :D

    Morning all

Saw some out of date soreen squidgy things on an A's shelf yesterday and as there was an SS nearby pointed it out to him.
Was just googling as one does to see what A's say about OOD stuff and found this

    "Out Of Date Products

If you find an out of date product you’re entitled to £10 store credit per product if you have bought the item/s. Asda can actually be fined by trading standards for selling out of date food so they are much more likely to keep you quiet with a gift card!"

Should I have asked for a GC or do you have to actually buy the product first and then go to CS complaining about the OOD stuff?

    tia :)

also someone was asking about credit cards the other day and I noticed in Martins newsletter mention of the Marks credit card.

    Apply before September 30th!

obviously applying leaves a mark on your credit record so best not to apply if you have something big like a new mortgage application due in the next six months.

and as always you have to be brutally honest with yourself as to how fiscally responsible you are
(I have to admit that despite numerous reminders on the google calendar and reminders coming through on the ipad and iphone I was renewing the car road tax at 11.30 on the 31st of August :D )

You cant apply if you have had a card in the last 12 months or if you already have a card.

Otherwise If you use the special MSE link and use your new marks cc card before October 31st to make a purchase however small then you get a £25 marks e voucher, the voucher will be emailed to you by 20 November and must be redeemed by 10 December which is not long so make sure you are not on holiday or suchlike during that time period.
Also with your card you should get a 500 points voucher -

I am imagining a level of panic as people by people waiting for cards as we go into October and there is a delay caused by a glut of people applying for cards at the very last minute and another wave of panic as people wait for their £25 e voucher having forgotten which email they used to apply :D

You need to gather together the usual info
where you work and the HQ address
gross earnings and gross household earnings
how long you have lived and where
your bank details and how long you have had your account
how you think you will pay your CC bils - you can set up your DD by phone or online after your application has gone through

Apart from figuring out where OHs HQ exactly was it was very quick to apply - took me 6 mins in total - this will be an emergency card for OH, only used on rare occasions but an emergency card is always useful

    Good morning all...

Waiting for my new fridge freezer to be delivered....after ditching the contents at 3am this morning.

curl girl suggested trying to unblock the ice build up,strangely enogh we did this about 3 weeks ago and I now wonder if this signaled the start of the demise.

...on another note my free JP chenet was delivered today...no fridge to cool it yet...and no president cheese to enjoy with it...but we have wine!!!
It took a week to arrive for anyone else wondering how long between application and arrival
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

No just for my OH - I've had a Marks card myself for years but its just an emergency card and for the odd usage in Marks

And my marks spends will be even less now that the town centre one I used to go to has moved out of town as will our own Marks next year so mainly it will be for online purchases.

But his and hers cards sounds fine - I cant see them objecting to this but I would use different email addresses as this is where they send your £25 e voucher to
