Birds Eye Chicken Fingers (10 per pack - 250g) 50p in a very lucky M.
Making the offer of £1.50 on the 14 pack:( which are available to nearly everybody:( very expensive indeed. I also have Birds Eye Crispy Chicken (4 per pack - 340g) as being £1. The Sweet & Sticky BBQ version went down to 81p earlier - maybe that is now even cheaper if it is available anywhere at all. I don't know as I haven't seen anything about it for ages.
The Crispy Chicken could be good for someone that doesn't want BBQ, but you will again have to be very lucky if you have any stock of it. As far as I am aware, it doesn't seem worthwhile trying the Light and Crunchy Breaded Chicken 4 pack as this has scanned at £3.24:( when I've checked it today in a store in which I have it. The £1 price on the 4 pack Crispy Chicken does make the 5 pack versions seem really expensive:rotfl:.
I'm sorry that this information, including that on the Chicken Fingers, probably comes belated and is too late for most people as it is now after their stores have already cleared out:(. I did have a brief moment of thought - literally for about a couple of seconds and nothing more than that - several weeks ago, as I did notice that the 10 pack have been disappearing or, indeed, had disappeared - and have not come back - in all my Ms up to now. Unfortunately, it did not grab me by the neck and shake me and tell me to wake up as they are 50p! I had no stock of them anywhere but often that's not unusual as every store doesn't have everything. It was a moment of haze, of implication that didn't strike me and I literally had a moment, in a daze, where I wondered, for two seconds, what had happened to them and then thought nothing more of it. The moment of implication was too subtle and didn't hit me I'm afraid. It didn't click with me that the 10 pack version had gone from stores in this manner, at 50p, and I had no indication that there had been any RTC on them and, indeed, I had no price to put to the item anyway which was not in stock anywhere I had visited.
I have noticed one store since with a £1.35 SEL for the 10 pack but, strangely, no stock of it at all whilst the 14 pack:( is fully in stock - and with £1.50 offer SEL. That sounds a very likely story to me, for the 10 pack now to be mysteriously completely absent and I wouldn't put it past possibility for some naughty staff, when given a 50p SEL to stick onto the shelf, to buy out all of the stock that was there themselves!
Nonetheless, these items, that have been around in stores but the stores no longer have them, must have been cleared in some way. I note they are also now showing "---" for A and T online - and I'm sure they've had them in the past - so they might have gone onto much better clearance price there as well and could be in a minority of stores. I think we should definitely look at items that have had prices online on msm before but now seem to be unavailable or to have gone even beyond that stage and now show "---" as they must be being cleared out in some way - there's always a reason why things disappear from online, maybe the retailers are no longer selling some products online or it could often be that they have gone onto much better prices instore than they've ever normally been before, due to being on clearance.
Unfortunately I think the Chicken Fingers (and the Birds Eye Grills) one is something that I have now discovered about three weeks too late for many people:(. I reckon it may have been on for that long, unbeknown to me as I had no stock, no SEL and no way of knowing that they had gone onto RTC or of knowing the price. Indeed, sticking with my store with the full price SEL would have given me no clue. (Maybe this 'find' now has been common knowledge and discussed on here for several weeks:rotfl:. It could just happen without me noticing and with me never catching up with every day of the thread.) However, for a small number of people, this information now will come at just the right time as their M has - one of them did have yesterday! - a very significant pile of stock. I think it was there as the store I found just had a "Price crunch" label underneath the stockpile, with no product name and no price. It seems that everyone in that store who is buying Chicken Fingers is unwittingly picking up the 14 pack next to them as they are on £1.50 offer:rotfl:.
So, 14 pack at £1.50 is certainly no good! Based on the 10 pack clearance, you should now expect to pay no more than 70p for a 14 pack. So £1.50 is very very dear indeed:rotfl:. Nothing like paying £1.00 more for 4 additional fingers:(. Real expensive, that ought to cost 20p not £1.00. And, if you buy 14 at £1.50, that's like paying well over £1 for 10 - the 10 pack generally used to go onto £1 (or £1 per unit in an mbuy) as an offer price, the 14 pack are still worse price than that, and of course the 10 pack are now 50p but you will be lucky I feel if it is in your M!
It'll be in lucky, random stores at M. And lucky, random stores at A and T, maybe:rotfl:. Don't know - did S ever have this pack size? Could be worth checking, if they did, just in case - but don't make a special journey as it's unlikely (and in other words, unlikely things happen all the time).0 -

So I too am now on the renewal treadmill.
Off out to collect my chocs shortly
Thanks HG, I think I will give it tomorrow and start the ball rolling by at least reporting it lost to the police, I see there is an online thing I can fill in to report it. And if it has been found they will let me know. Don't think I will order a new one just yet though give it a little longer in hope.
I do have my licence no written down somewhere safe.
Forgot to say I got my chocs ok this morning, code was taken off ok. :T0 -
We have finally got a promise from our tame builder that he is coming for a day in November.
Firstly I think he will condemn the front door frame and decide it all needs replacing. And then he will decide the front door needs also condemning and he will want me to make a decision about a new door and I am clueless. I know I don't want a white plastic one that looks shabby after a few years so it will be a wooden one and possibly white is the most obvious colour to match the windows but I keep dithering ...
and I know he is going to show my catalogues of £500 doors and I am going to gasp at the price of things ....
mhoc, there are some really nice doors that are not PVC, or wood...that are maintenance free (the latter is the most important to me)diluvsdiscounts wrote: »I've had a text off home base cancelling my curtains I knew it was going to happen but still disappointing.
