Mum (86) had a fall on Sunday. She has compression fracture of a vertebrae in her spine. It will be along road back to any level of recovery.
Sorry, not sure why I am telling you this, as everyone has enough of their own problems, but just felt the need to ""talk".

Wishing your mum and speedy recovery.

Hotpoint called me today about my faulty dryer, wanted to book an engineer in. They wanted to know the model and serial no, typical I was out and about and also havnt got it with me at home, as the affected model is at the house in Wales. So they are ringing back on Tuesday, after I have been and got it at the weekend.

Next problem I am going to face, is I bet they wont repair it on a Saturday, as we are not there on a weekday. Oh joys.

I could not find the Dove Mini Sets in SD so I asked a helpful assistant, she showed me where they were and said "somebody bought three of these yesterday and only paid £3 for all three". So just ask - its not a secret, you can always say that's the price you saw on the SD website. :o Oh, they were on a shelf above the travel size things.

    re switching utility suppliers

we are all electric and on economy 7. when I put the figures through the comparison websites everything that seems to be cheaper is from companies I've never heard of.
so for now I am sticking with Scottish powers. I put metre readings in each month and I can adjust the direct debit myself downwards usually it's about £77 and I've got a little bit in credit.
it used to bother me a lot if I went into debit and I would put extra in to correct it but now I've come to the conclusion that there are other more pressing things to worry about :D

I do like the idea of changing suppliers and getting a cashback incentive though :)

Greggs granola bars - free on the app today but I didn't realise until late afternoon and I must have walked past 3 Greggs today
Boots O2 priority free water - one boots didn't have a fridge and a city store had no stock all week
3 cos/CS new freebies today and I walked past a Tesco without realising
new £5 notes - but I've only tried one place so far
Superdrug - dove mini sets, empty shelf in Scarborough and none at all in York

Shoppymum have each variety of Pick Up Biscuits on a "Try for 50p" offer

They are £1.62, 2 for £2 in Morries but Shoppymum doesn't recognise the multis. You (should) get £2.24 back per 2 packs ie 24p profit :money:
Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen
