You have my sympathy, not fun. Must be a pretty bad accident though. :o

Been mad busy this week as my holiday gets over closer. Friday/Saturday I was in Cardiff, as we went to our first Uni open day for DD. Cardiff was lovely, but she decided the course wasn't for her (too academic and no real practical, she wants a mix of both as she is doing journalism). The journey both ways seemed to take forever so quite glad its a no.

bubbs, have a lovely holiday. :)

Tiny, glad the boot sale went well.

    Hello
Thankyou , A45 was shut a long time, i just checked the travel online about 1/2hr ago and had been updated 2 mins before now clear , i went out about 11:eek:

    Oh, thats not good. :(

Its easy to get grumpy in a traffic jam, I'm guilty of it myself, but its so often down to horrible accidents that end in fatalities or life changing injuries, and I do try and remember that when I feel myself getting stressed and cross.

No not good:( i dont get annoyed sitting there what i DO get annoyed about is people thinking they can go that bit further in the other lane and cut across infront of you:mad: for gods sake they can see the rd is shut! join earlier, the traffic was everywhere:eek: as they were coming from w/f way and wanting to turn left onto 45 from billing r/about but of course couldnt

so I thought I'd risk going to our little Mr !!!!!! in search of gin - its on offer 2 bottles for £20 and I wanted Gordon's elderflower and Gordon's sloe gin. I had a mailing booklet of conditional spends for £20 shops and this weeks was £3 off £20.
this store has driven me bats endless times as it never has even the most ordinary of items that are on the cashback lists but perversely it did stock these 2 gins
I then went in search if the half price cat food someone spotted with the barcode and there was a shelf full but I then price checked and they were still full price in my store :(
then I had a look at the Hipp sachets and there were none of the £1 fruit versions I'd bought before only the main meals ones so I thought I'd take a risk and get 12
I then set off for the tills and everything scanned. I gave the girl my MOCs and she started scanning. The £3 conditional spend scanned and the first two free hipp scanned no problem and they took £2 off the bill but the other hipp MOCs would not scan :(
so I said no problem just remove the hipps from the bill and she handed me back my MOCs
I had my contactless card in my hand as I reached over and needless to say it picked this up and payment went through :(
Then a till supervisor came along and off we trotted to CS where it was decided to cancel the hipps and start again so £15 was refunded to my card. The 12 hipps were scanned again but only 2 MOCs worked again so that's what I came away with, just the 2 and they went straight into the food bank trolley
I think I will stick to the fruit versions next time if I can find them

at least I got the gins :D
