Oh, and with the hair clippers, I need to be able to have them this week! MEN!!!

    Morning.

I purchased a Wahl set not long ago from Home Bargains for £14.99, not as good as my ancient Wahl set but still does the job!

Might be better off buying a good quality one used from ebay. If you get one today, you should receive it by Tuesday/Wednesday.

Anyone know where I can get a good bicycle lock set (cheap), DS1 has just announced he will need one for his bike to be locked up at college.

    Morning all :)

The local horse riding centre were offering bags of horse manure today. You could turn up with your bags and a shovel and away you go. So we did. Bags, wellies and shovel in car.

We get there and there were signs up everywhere saying that the minimum donation was £2.50 a bag

I turned the car around and left. There is a farm up the road that lets you take it for free and another one who charges half of what the riding centre do. Add in that I have five chickens and therefore endless amounts of manure, we didn't need to do either

But what a cheek! I know they are a charity but pricing themselves out of the market so to speak before they even begin isn't going to get them very far is it?!

So now I'm not muck spreading today, I can catch up with my housework and get sorted on using up all my tomatoes and getting the next batch of wine in the go

    But something mildly amusing -

We got a load of apples and diligently juiced them and fermented them for cider. We put the juice straight in the bucket and the pulp in a bag as we weren't going to add the pulp to begin with. We decided that we were going to add the pulp in the end, so in it went.

Last night I strained it into a demijohn. All good so far...

Until I find an effing detergent wipe in the bucket

I *think* what happened was that as I was clearing up the mess with a detergent wipe and chucked it into the pulp bag, thinking that it was going in the bin....

I've just poured a gallon of hard work down the drain  :rotfl: :rotfl:
