So I've got a travel cot, lots of baby grows and blankets from vertbaudet and nappies from superdrug so any baby related offers please give me a nudge
Congrats! Lidl have some lovely baby stuff this week. Organic cotton baby grow, lovely socks and tights. Well worth a look. My dd got some bits and I got some aswell to send to my other granddaughter in London.
DS and wife have had a stressfull week. They are in a one bed rented with the baby and are moving in with wife's dad ( shes an only child, Mum has passed away and dad has just taken early retirement.) Plan was to give up their 2 rentals and find somewhere together as dil is back to work in October and father will be looking after baby. They found somewhere in Crofton Park ( they live in Brockley and dad lives in Ealing ) and they were getting keys next week so dad could move in and they would follow in October after their lease ends. Anyway on Monday landlord changed his mind so back to square one.
After a lot of viewings they finally decided on one in East Dulwich, 4 beds, 2 minutes from station, lovely shops and bars and no hills for grandad to push pram up.
On the minus side its £500 over budget ( £2550.00 per month!!!) but plan is to stay there for 6 - 12 months and then look to buy as dad is giving them most of his retirement fund as a deposit. They both have good jobs ( son is an editor with MSN online ) and dil is an accounts manager with a marketing agency) and dil is scottish and very canny with money.
I am now going to go through my stashes of crockery, bed linen, dishes, knives and household items and make a list for them. I need to clear out my house a bit so perfect. And they will finally have a spare room so nanny can go and stay!!0 -

Tour of Britain is in Bristol today. They've closed down nearly all the roads around where I work and I had to ring every patient coming in today to let them know and tell them how to get there around the closures :rotfl:
