Unlikely since it was a glitch on an offer ending.

The glitches that last multiple days tend to be on new offers.

You could check if they are still marked 5 for £3 in your store, if they were and it came off at the till it would work. If they were and it didn't come off at the till you could go to CS and ask for the difference back + gift card.

I'm in right moany mood today...

Just had a letter from our solicitor concerning the purchase we are making and gas safety certificates.
We queried that the latest certificate stated there were carbon monoxide monitors in the property, although when we viewed we couldnt find them.

It's not a legal requirement yet to have them in rented accommodation(that doesnt meet certain conditions) but it is advisable ...they arn't hugely expensive and can be installed easily,so we will once we take ownership
...so we asked for clarification from the seller who now quite rightly agrees no there are none.

Why then does an accredited Gas engineer complete a required document for rental and suggest there is...poor workmanship from someone who should be adopting better practices me thinks!
Now I wonder if the rest of the said gas inspection was completed with the same due care and attention....

    Off the soapbox....sorry.
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Have to agree, that is a glaring error, it would make me question the validity of the certificate:mad:

I've just had an estate agent call me , before nan passed away we were looking at all options and one of those options were to sell both houses and buy a bigger one with better access for nan so we had both houses valued and she called a few weeks later and I said that nan had passed away and all plans have changed, anyway she just called to ask if I have got over nans death and did I want to sell the house now

It is amazing how insensitive people are... but I have to admit to something that is rather awful. When people cold call for OH, I tell them he died the day before (yes I know this if horrendous).... but it is amazing how many people continue to try to sell me things!

Absolutely....this new certificate has only been issued recently so has another 10 or so months to run....it's just been a catalogue of stupid things buying this place....and as things are going it's not likely to now complete until almost christmas as correct notices have yet to be issued despite us requesting them back at the end of June.

talk about a motivated seller....I think he's actually not got any form of grip on it and is taking advice from an EA and solicitor who are just in it for their commissions and payments rather than adhering to correct procedures.

    Well done :T:T:T

I put some in basket when Bubbs said it was in again, but it went OOS before checkout. But in truth I do not need any more, I am happy with what I already got. And thank you again for your original post detailing the offer. :D
