That is a lovely poem and very special.

I think it is strange how somethings we remember forever. I can still recite all the words of Squeeze 'Up the Junction' and all the words of one book I use to read the boys when they were little...it was a rather long story in poem form..... the boys often start this story off and another one will finish it.

I can only ever remember one joke....... this was because my sister told it at the Christmas dinner table with the 92 year granny there.... the joke was rather rude!
I'm sure I've read that if you are ever held in solitary confinement that it is those those poems and hymns that you learnt as a child that keep you sane., or in some cases drive you insane as you can;t remember the binking words.

Most embarrassing Christmas dinner table, 2 x 80+ year old grannies etc... young nephew, aged 9 asks, what does masturbate mean dad? Dear brother quickly puts a roast potato in his mouth so he can't answer, we are all humming and coughing, other nephew, aged 11 replies, Oh Pete, it's just a posh word for w@nk!!

I know that bank savings interest is no longer taxed at source and I had just about got my head around the £1000 tax free interest that was allowed - buy I thought that interest from shares would still be taxed before I got it. I've realised today that it isn't and that I will have to allow for it as part of the £1000. I have absolutely no idea how I am going to be able to check whatever the tax crowd try to grab back off me - my tax stuff never ever worked out as it should when I was SE and I have no faith in the tax office getting it right now.

I have not had a good day !

Ok - after my really irritating day my brain went to bed before I did. I meant dividend - which the seems to be being treated like interest and being paid before tax deductions.
