So do we have any tiny eliters who are starting school for the first time next week....

I know I read that AAU's DD started for the first time when the over the borders went back a few weeks ago....(hope it's all going well and she's made some friends and she's almost a pro at this school lark now)

This is the first year in many that I haven't had to deal with the back to school....but it is 18 days and counting to uni lift off!

    Advice please...
GS who is 15 1/2 and 6 foot was refused cinema entry, but got it sorted and was allowed in, but im thinking of any other times where he may be questioned of his age, I have looked online and just wondered what other peoples experiences with this are, and im assuming I go to the official uk id site or are there others I can use?

My 24 yr old can still get in places for 15!:)

    Good afternoon:D

I think you get get a citizen card for a 16 year old. We recommend them at my work for proof of age as an official ID card without the worry for an "official" document such as driving license and passport. I work in a bookies and they are strict on proof of age:eek:

It is a problem, not least because fake ID is easy to buy, so ID other than passports/ driving licence etc are not trusted.

Our "neighbours" in Scotland use to rent an old farmhouse, heating was by way of two open fires in each lounge (also heated hot water) and completely useless storage heaters for the bedrooms. They nicknamed the place cold comfort farm, but bloody hell, open fires don't have throw of some heat, you always left there place with rosy cheeks and sweat forming on your brow :D

We've always had log burners and when we moved here we ripped out both gas fires and put in one log burner which heats all of downstairs and very rare the heating gets put on for upstairs. Plus I think Bub loves the fire too, when it first went on he couldn't have got closer if he tried :D
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
