    Advice please...
GS who is 15 1/2 and 6 foot was refused cinema entry, but got it sorted and was allowed in, but im thinking of any other times where he may be questioned of his age, I have looked online and just wondered what other peoples experiences with this are, and im assuming I go to the official uk id site or are there others I can use?

It's a tricky one that we have been through....both in terms of what is age applicable and also what is classed as proof of ID without carting round a passport all the time...

Some things require you to be 16 some are even as low as 12 but its actually when they reach about 14,15,16 that the ID question always crops up.
I remember at 16 DS had a provisional driving licence as well as a passport but for some reason the local bus company would accept neither as official confirmation of age and actually requested that we buy a bus card or something similar for £10...cue a strongly worded letter to the company and an apology was issued,I believe they have also now changed the policy to include driving licences/passports!

Unless things have changed in the last 4 years or so I expect it to be a minefield that sadly kids fall into and have to endure until 18

My sister has a real fire but thats the only heating apart from an electric heater in the bathroom , bedroom and kitchen:eek:

We have radiators in bedrooms from the back boiler on the fire but at the moment.and no heating in bathroom , we are looking at an electric wall heater but don't know what to choose. Something g to melt the icicles would be a go d idea . they look pretty but its very cold :rotfl:
