Pippo what you doing with yourself these days then? :D
    Hi Bubbs,
Most of what I did before, except work, but at a much more leisurely pace!!

When people said said 'i don't know how I had time to go to work' I didn't believe them, but it's true, 'cos you do things more slowly, even shopping, you have time to look! I can also follow the glitches and good deals posted on here.

To be honest it is still holiday/celebration time, I've had lovely trips/meals out with friends. I am also following Martin's tips re bank accounts and savings to make the most of my pension money which is taking a while to sort out.

I do go swimming twice a week and am trying to declutter :rotfl:
Off to a wedding tomorrow, dress, shrug and shoes all bought at a discount, with cashback, 'cos I've got time:T:T

    Keep planning for it SSM,
I hadn't planned to go this soon, but life events do intervene and I couldn't face another re structure! The voluntary redundancy did help though.:T

What scares me is that 2 days later the LA asked me to come back as a consultant...............

Re your report, we all need to build some procrastination time into deadlines, I'm sure you'll get there and you'll probably be formulating your conclusions whilst in the checkout queue at A's.

I understand the re-structure departure...... I wished they'd realise that this is the time that they loose the most experienced staff.

When I stopped working for the LA, it was to begin to plan my retirement..... well I wanted to become a foster carer... hence the house... but I may change my view when the house is ready and is all posh... but everything is being spec. for this (I have also thought about opening a parent and child unit... so the cables are going in for CCTV!)

.... I am in good time for the report (too good time... adrenaline has not kicked in hence the procrastination) I would never file late as I now depend totally on reputation.

I do tend to take too much work on at times, but that is my fault (and I to admit I rather like short periods of manic work, it is when I do my best work).

Have you not thought of doing a little agency?

I've got the wombles. Yes I know, my problem:rotfl:.

:mad:Why do people buy £2 toothbrushes on rollback yet again, and £2 fabric conditioner:(!? Why can't people learn to buy items that are more expensive and therefore, for me, cheaper?

    :rotfl::rotfl:

They've also gone for some nappies on useless mbuy price that will doubtless slash any APG (if they haven't already made it impossible). Just hopeless!

EDIT: More than 10% cheaper - what a surprise!:(:(

It was toothpaste rather than toothbrushes but either way no use as they are significantly cheaper (in other words more expensive than other toothpaste of same amount that is £2 at the competitor).

    Vs M
    2x Oral-B Pro-Expert Deep Clean Toothpaste (75ML)
    £4.00 £5.00:(:p

    Vs S
    2x Oral-B Pro-Expert Deep Clean Toothpaste (75ML)
    £4.00 £7.00:eek::(

Paid for over the odds (45 wash Surfs go down to £4.25 elsewhere at other times):

    Vs T
1x Surf Washing Powder Tropical Lily 45 Washes (3.2KG)
    £5.00 N/A:)
But useless as none of the other stuff helps.

    Vs M
1x Surf Washing Powder Tropical Lily 45 Washes (3.2KG)
    £5.00 £8.47:(

    Vs M
1x ASDA Chosen by You Tie Handle Pedal Bin Liners (40PK)
    £1.20 £0.97

But no 10% on that shop as other items remove it so obtained at full A price! It would have been cheaper to have bought some liners in M separately at 97p. Which I am sure could have been incorporated into another journey, at no extra cost, at a convenient point not too far away, as people have to travel around anyway in order to carry out normal life. However, fundamentally the whole shop needs to be restructured to take out all items much more expensive at M, to buy only what is not 10% cheaper than the competitor and then could have bought it all at A, the other items on a separate shop, without extra cost of travelling elsewhere, all bought on the same trip to A, on the same day, but on separate transactions so would have been able to have an APG discount next time:money: from off one of today's shops.

Look at the other toothpaste vs T!:eek:

2x Oral-B Pro Expert Sensitive & Gentle Whitening Toothpaste (75ML)
    £4.00 £7.00:(:(:(

So true about the experienced staff, the team I used to manage now has 2 workers who are still completing their ASYE as the most experienced qualified workers on the team, excluding senior prac:eek:

Thought about agency, may go there if I'm bored in the spring!!

I always struggled to complete without a deadline looming.

Don't think I could foster in a posh house but there is always a need for parent & child placements/ assessments.

It's a formerly looked after person's wedding that I'm going to tomorrow.
At 16 nobody would have her, at 34 she has nvq 5 in care, a manager's post, a house, a horse and as from tomorrow a husband, i have to be there as surrogate mam. I also know that her family can still send her off the rails either by turning up or not turning up so fingers crossed for her to have the happy day she deserves.

24 pack Oxo Beef Cubes at £1.50 offer pricing:(:p are also not a good idea on the APG at the moment. More than 10% cheaper than everywhere, and, surprise surprise:rotfl:, they go down to the very same £1.50 at other places when they go onto offers elsewhere. So, best to wait until a competitor inevitably(?) goes to £1.50 and then buy in A on target shop. Unless you have an A discount card in which case you can get the 10% now by just buying straight in A (and not bothering with the APG service!).

Anyway, I've lost 18p technically (in 10% that I could otherwise have had if bought differently*) as I bought just two items in A tonight (with an APG that paid for outright and no extra to pay). So it may be money-saving if I can now find a womble of greater than 18p, as I could have that without having to buy six more items and end up paying more for my shopping tonight than the 18p 'lost'. (In fact, I'd have needed to buy at least 14 items more:eek: as one of them is same price:rotfl::p elsewhere, but the other is same price:p:huh: (what a surprise:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) at another competitor).

Ohhh... deary, I am so cynical!:rotfl::D:) Best way to be - probably - with the supermarkets!:T

Of course you now know that my APG was for £1.80 don't you?:rotfl:

*Of course any 10% would be in voucher form committed to A - I could never have the cash!
