I think because employers expect a C in Maths and English. Government brought in rules that if you didn't achieve them, you had to keep retaking whilst in compulsory education, and its now compulsory until 18 (unless you do an apprenticeship). DS will be 19 this year, so I guess if we kicked up enough of a stink maybe he wouldn't have to do it, I've no idea really. His tutor suggested he didn't have a scribe, but then his work would be unreadable so that wouldn't work. I just feel so sorry for him. He is passing everything on his Level 3 Childcare course, just the GCSE English he can't do.

Thank you, probably a pointless trip tomorrow but just hoping for a bit of reassurance. Last night was quite scary, really brought it home to me that things can change from great to an emergency situation in just a few hours.

You need to get your wheezy chest sorted! ;)

Ahh bless him, i know how quick it changes as my customer that has one, but his is blockages but thats the least of his problems at he mo:(
I know i will have to make an appointment, not had my emergency app yet for physio!

No, I went to sleep...:eek::eek:

I have worked very silly hours recently and just could not keep my eyes open!

I am back on it now as what I don't get done today, will have to be done over the weekend.

I am jealous of the retirement... I am trying to plan mine early but being unsuccessful x

    Keep planning for it SSM,
I hadn't planned to go this soon, but life events do intervene and I couldn't face another re structure! The voluntary redundancy did help though.:T

What scares me is that 2 days later the LA asked me to come back as a consultant...............

Re your report, we all need to build some procrastination time into deadlines, I'm sure you'll get there and you'll probably be formulating your conclusions whilst in the checkout queue at A's.

Can anyone tell me what the apple symbol means at the side of some products on COS ? Thanks

I thought it was for healthy deals but I don't think a pepperami is healthier than a yoghurt :rotfl:

No harm in uploading twice and when they decline the 2nd claim because the receipt has been uploaded already just email to explain it isn't actually a duplicate claim

From what I've read they are quite accommodating with things like that
