Recently I had a few weekends not doing work, and it caught up on me... serves me to be lazy (on a lazy week I do 60 hours.. but I work for myself (one woman band) so my fault).
I want to go and work in Tesco...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

On an easy week I do at least 13 hours a day...... and have done for 5 years without a holiday (I did have a day off for a wedding)......... I rather like working.....I should admit I do not clean at all!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I even hate bank holiday!
So tonight I have done my nails and plucked my eye brows.100 -

EDIT: I know it's a few pence (although pennies eventually add up to pounds) but I think my penchant is for something that is accurate (at least when accuracy would work in our favour).
I agree with you Savvy, if they pickup everything like they should then we all know where we are. But given that that isn't the reality, the best we can hope for is that sometimes the omissions work in our favour.

Afternoon all, hope everyone is well.
So excited as just had a mortgage offer which I didn't think we would get. I'm wanting to buy a second property as a project to do up and sell. Any advise greatfully receivedxx

We bought a flat at auction and its been a great buy as we didnt have to do much to it as it was only a few years old, but most places even in bad condition, i.e. needing rewiring, new kitchen bathroom and central heating etc. cost around 15-20k, sometimes a lot less if in fair condition. We only had to repair the shower, clean and decorate. Check auction catalogues if you go by that root , and if you see something you like have a good look at it with someone who can advise such as a builder, and most important check local property prices. Good luck
Evening luvlies, had a practice run for a half up half down up do for DD1s wedding so I can get a feel of what it will look like with my fascinator. Very pleased, just wish i was going out somewhere tonight to show it off :rotfl:
We've been renovating properties too, taking them back to brick, some are rented out, some we've lived in, the most recent purchase was an unsold auction property we've flipped in 8 weeks.
cjj, I know you said auctions scare you, you can go along just as an observer for the first few times with no intention of buying, just to get a feel of things. Just a suggestion, have you looked into unsold auction properties? At the end of each auction the unsold properties are published online. DH noticed one which was submitted for auction too late to appear in the catalogue and didn't receive any bids. He approached the auctioneer the next day and made an offer just below the reserve price and the vendor accepted it. Renovations are now complete on it and it's going on the market next month.
Don't forget come January, you can no longer receive tax relief on the interest on the mortgage and you now have to factor in a minimum of 3% stamp duty for a second home (depending on the purchase price) Good luck:happylove Nanny to 2 Cherubs :happylove0 -
Evening all.
Swimwear problem sorted, found a few sets in Matalan today, they had absolutely loads. Not my local though, bit further afield.
We have been in every shop today, OH was getting really fed up, but I managed to find some was getting a bit worried though :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
We have renovated all of our properties, every house we have bought, we have bought from a shell, and done it how we wanted.
We have recently purchased a 2 bed terrace to rent out, got our first tenants moving in next week.0
